It's a SPOOKTACULAR Blog Hop today! For years I have made some sort of scrapbook of our Halloween experiences each year. It was fun last night when I pulled out all of our old scrapbooks and the kids went banana's over them. Looking at old costumes they had worn brought back great memories. I love that they can appreciate these little things. Most of these books in the past have been traditional scrapbooks or even paper bag books. This year I will try my hand at an MDS book and I think I'm going to make it a board book. Wouldn't that be fun? Our board books are amazing.
This layout has lots of layers in places you wouldn't think. For instance, I placed an overlay over our photo's to give more of a "spooky" feeling.
Tip: When I created the stitching around each 3 x 3 Designer Series paper block, I cropped the stitching to 3" and then copied it 3 more times. I connected each of the stitching pieces to make a square and then grouped them together. Once I had all of the DSP blocks made I simply dropped the the square stitching over each of them.
