Kickin’ It Up With Kimberly
Are you ready to Kick it up a Notch with you’re stamping?
Something new and exciting is happening!
It all started with a little conversation with a dear friend.
Encouraging Friends
We all have that friend who breaths encouraging words in our ears.
The other day I was speaking to one of my Stampin’ Up! friends and she was encouraging me to do more videos.
I gave her the same ole excuse that I always give… “What could I possibly show someone on a video? What can they learn from me? I can’t do that! I don’t have time!”
Have you ever experienced a long laundry list of excuses like the ones I was giving?
Really I felt this way. Â So many times I hear from stampers… “I can’t do what you do. Â I don’t know how to take my cards up a level or two!”
My friend then said these words…..
“Kickin’ it up with Kimberly!”
Instantly I fell in love. Â Now the big problem came… I had to actually make the video.
The End of Procrastination
After I spoke with my friend and she brilliantly and graciously helped me see past my own fears, I said I would give it a try.
It was time to pull out the video camera and give it a whirl- AGAIN!
My goal is to help stampers see the potential within themselves to take their cards to a new level. Â To see and use embellishments more than they are currently. Â Most of all, enjoy the process of creating.
Two Cards, Two Ways
Now kick this card up a notch with just a few more additions….
One of my favorite things about the stamp set Star of Light is the interpretation of the images. Â They could be stars, or in my case I interpret them to be snowflakes. Â Either way they are beautiful.
Watch the video today and see how I take one card and kick it up a notch. Â It’s a subtle change that can pack a big punch.
The Star of Light bundle creates beautiful cards and the coordinating framelits saves you much time as you do not have to fussy cut.  Simply die cut using the Starlight Thinlit dies and attach.
As I’ve said many times, you can take a fairly simple card and spice it up quickly with a few embellishments just as I’ve shown you in the Kickin’ it up with Kimberly video.
A huge thanks to my friend for encouraging me AGAIN… Â to step outside my comfort zone and get before the camera AGAIN. Â She’s a keeper.

LOVE all the details on your cards! Great job on the video.
I have been following your blog for years and years, first from my island
in Hawaii and now in recent years in New Zealand. Where, if it weren’t for SU! and those of you who give from a place in your hearts (Patty, Dawn, and Angie included) through your blogs, it would have been so much lonelier and harder to endure. I have prayed for you through your trenches, as I walked in my own trials, always knowing what your purpose was and is, and how important your ministry is through the avenue of SU!. But you know what I missed the most? Your videos, and the friendship you so freely shared. That you were even thinking you couldn’t once again be fruitful in something that enriched us all, was part of your journey, but by stepping out in faith you’re now coming full circle. I thank your encouraging friend for helping to give you strength and stimulating your faith to again make videos. Your coming back to us baby one step at a time!
I love your videos! You are so real, funny, and genuine in them, plus your projects always knock my socks off. You have a gift of making everyone feel like a friend and like you are talking right to them. Thank you for the video!
Kimberly – you did an outstanding job on your video and I enjoyed it very much. I love your blog, but it’s also good to see a video and the actual steps as you create your cards. Love it! Thanks for sharing it with us.
