Just Flip It!
The best ideas I have seem to come after 10pm at night. I’m not sure why or that it could possibly be the loads of coffee over stimulating my brain… but anytime after 10pm the creative light bulb goes OFF!
Tonight was no different. Only it’s after midnight. Sigh…
I’m going to hurt tomorrow but I had an idea and I ran with it. The best part is my project took a whopping 5 minutes to create. This doesn’t happen often.
So what’s the bright idea? Just flip it!
We all know that Gold is hot and trendy and Stampin’ Up! has FINE products that help us in the gold department. In fact one of my favorites is the Gold Fancy Designer Vellum Foil. Tonights project I didn’t want to add gold but I loved the way the backside of that Vellum Foil looked with the stripes. So I flipped it.
Now you may or may not being doing a little flippity dance but I was. I loved how it looked so I went with it. Oh I love it when this happens. Creativity = Freedom. You can totally do what you want. WOOT!
Again, this card went together FAST. If you look close enough I bet the ink is not even dry on that card. I used the Chalkboard Paper (Ummm… hello… yum!) and stamped the Hello There greeting using Whisper White Craft Ink. When this does dry it will be a beautiful muted white.
I wanted to add a little more to the greeting so I stamped a few geometrical images from the Best Day Ever stamp set. AWESOME set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.
The little pom pom ribbon was a perfect dash of color. Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral are a perfect pair when it comes to color.
I encourage you to just FLIP IT and see what you can do with the beautiful Fancy Designer Vellum Foil. It’s just another way to use it and we gotta love that. When you can get more than one way to use a product I call that a Yippie Skippie moment.

Hey Kim…I `m one of those that gets ideas at night too ! I am going to go pull my Vellum/gold paper and try this out . What fun !
