Handmade Cards for Him
I wish I could say that I made Russ cards often but that’s not really the case. I’m more of a sticky note kinda girl. I leave them everywhere with little lovey dovey words and I do the same for my kids. The bathroom mirrors are usually plagued with my sticky notes all the time.
I thought I would shake things up and make him a card instead of a sticky note.
By the Tide
I decided to use a set that hasn’t seen ink in awhile and one that I love, By the Tide.
I’ve used every image in this set except of the Lobster. When I was looking at accessories to go with this card I giggled when the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Pack jumped at me. This particular piece reminded me of fish net.
While I was at the OnStage event in Tampa I received the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit as a prize. I haven’t purchased one of these before and for shame for shame. This little kit is filled with lots of great items. One of them that made me squeal out loud was the smaller tea doily’s. I had no idea they were smaller let alone in the kit. Also, the twine inside this kit is fantastic.
You can faintly see the designer paper behind the vellum. If you look closely you can see polka dots. I used the Happy Haunting DSP. It was perfect for this card.
Tips & Tricks-
I used the Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers on the right side of the card to give the illusion of bubbles.
I stamped the Archival Basic Black ink onto the small strip of Vellum Cardstock. If I was to re-do this card I would emboss the black ink with Clear Embossing Powder to give it a raised feel and look.
The thank you greeting came from the One Big Meaning stamp set. Awesome thank you set filled with great images. Check it out HERE.
You can see all the products I used for this card below.
