Around the world we go, would you like to join me? Okay, maybe we can stay state side… but I am going on a little trip and I’m excited.
Stampin’ Up! is holding a Catalog Premiere the end of April all around the United States for Demonstrators. When the announcement happened I was a little giddy. We would be the first to see the NEW catalog and receive GOODIES.
I scrambled to see the list of cities and the closest to my city was Birmingham, Al. I had to sit and give this thought. It would be the first time I was leaving the Prince since the stroke. Russ and I chatted about it and he is doing so great. I think it could happen.
Next I called my mom who is also a demonstrator. I said, “Wanna go on a little road trip?” When she said she’s in I immediately thought of Thelma and Louise. This could be interesting. Now I’m giddy and April 28th is going to be a F.U.N day.
Believe it or not… YOU could join us. I’ll talk about that at the end of the post.
Let’s chat about my Around the World We Go card…
I’m still on a mission to pull stamp sets that haven’t been used and Designer Series Paper that I am hoarding. YES, hoarding.
Create it!!
Tips to create this card:
- I started this card by getting all of my elements together first. Cutting the suitcases, die cutting the Starburst and cutting the “fun” with my Silhouette Cameo.
- You will see small strips of DSP and ribbon added first. I like to keep strips of DSP to 3/4″ or smaller except for the final strip which I layered all the elements onto. This strip is 1″.
- The word FUN was cut using my Silhouette Cameo. Oh how I love that.
- All elements are layered on a larger Starburst die cut.
- The “Splatter” was created using a stamp from Paper Pumpkin. If you love EXCLUSIVE stamp images, I encourage you to sign up for Paper Pumpkin. I use these images all the time for my stamping projects.
- The Sale-a-Bration Sweet Sorbet Accessory Kit with the THREE colors of thread is a must have. First, the coordinate with our colors. Second, you can do many fun things using the thread. Here I only used TWO strands. I wrapped it in a circle many times and then stuck behind all of my elements. I love this small detail.
You can view all the supplies at the end of the post. Click on the links and you can purchase directly in my Online Store. The Clearance Rack has some great finds for 80% OFF. Yikes. Check it out.
Join Me!
Yes, JOIN me on my little trip to Birmingham, Alabama. Sale-a-Bration is a perfect time to join the Stampin’ by the Sea team for only $99. You will receive $150 in PRODUCTS. Once you are a demonstrator you can join me for the Catalog Premiere event. This is going to be a fantastic event to see the new catalog, receive exclusive products to the new catalog and then have FUN FUN FUN while we are in Birmingham!
Ready to start your adventure with Stampin’ Up!? Click HERE to join and let’s get you started. I’m hosting a NEW Demonstrator Webinar on Wednesday, April 3rd. I would love to help you get started.

Wish you could have made it down to Orlando…. but I totally get it about being closer to home. Have a great time and keep creating, as you have totally gotten your “grove back” which is awesome to see. Thanks for always sharing both your creativity and your every day’s with us. All my best to you and the family, especially for Russ.
Take care Kimberly,
Lorena 🙂
Wonderful card….truly looks like a traveling piece….know you and your mom will have a fabulous adventure…as will the rest of us, though we don’t have to travel as far as you do. Can’t wait to read your blog after the trip!
Thanks Carol. This will be my mom’s first Stampin’ Up! event so she is over the moon excited. Can’t wait. 🙂
I was really close to going there Lorena. I have many of my downline going to that one. It’s great to be back into the groove for SURE. Creating definitely feeds a big part of my soul. 🙂
Darn! I keep hoping to meet you at an event, but Navy life keeps moving us all over the world. We just moved from the Birmingham area to Japan. Have an awesome time at the reveal!
Hopefully when you get back from Japan we’ll meet up. Enjoy Japan, I hear it’s amazing. Russ never got orders overseas. We’ve always been state side. 🙂 XOXO
