I feel a REALLY good weekend challenge coming on!! Are you ready?
It's not often that my work area becomes a MAJOR disaster but this week I've been in rare form so it's only natural that my work area is too. When I say disaster I mean it. There is STUFF everywhere. Stamps everywhere, dimensional backings all over the floor. It's quite embarrassing to be honest. For the girl who is completely organized to be in this type of a hot mess is just CRAZY!
I had a little time today and I needed to create something to clear my brain! I decided to challenge myself to work with WHATEVER was on the work table. It was a disaster already… why not clean up the disaster and create at the same time? Ended up being quite fun and love the results. 🙂
This card really is a mish mash of good fun-ness.
The polka dots are the leftover rubber pieces from my Daydream Medallions stamp set. *LOVE THEM* I actually just keep these on my desk at all times for my Polka Dot moods. I never know when that mood hits me.
I stamped them in VersaMark all over the Crumb Cake. This made my heart pitter patter.
I had a bunch of doilies sitting so I decided to use the Perfectly Penned stamp set with the Gold Embossing Powder directly onto the doily. I think I squealed.
I have my washi tape sitting perfectly lined up on my desk so I decided to put that to use too. I did three strips of all the colors I had and once again I felt a warm rush over my entire body. I like to call this a "Stampin' HIGH!" It's 100% natural and the BEST feeling. <sigh>
Remember way back when I made the feather cards? I used the Boutique Boxes Kit? Seriously, you need it. There is Kraft Bakers Twine inside this kit. It's SO lovely. I wrapped it a couple of times around my card and tied a little bow. I just love Bakers Twine but I covet this Kraft twine.
I stamped my little "friends" image onto one of the banners from the Boutique Boxes and then attached with a safety pin. Last, I had this cute bird clip I've been dying to use. It's been on my desk FOREVAH! I couldn't help but stick it on the little banner. I like how it's cute head sticks out.
I *always* have smooch spray on my desk. Gold, and Vanilla. I sprayed my card with a nice fine dusting.
The last step and this tool NEVER leaves my desk… Color Spritzer. I used my Sahara Sand marker for this card. Just wanted a light spritz.
Like I said, totally random "stuff" on my desk. All of which makes me happy.
Now, it's your turn. WHAT IS ON YOUR DESK? I challenge you to use it. Make a project with what's on your desk and share the link in the comments to your project. I will draw a name on Monday for a winner to receive one roll of our new This & That Epic Day Washi Tape.
If you'd like a chance to win, simply leave me a comment at the end of this post by Sunday, April 14th at 11:59 p.m. EST. I will pick a winner on Monday, April 15th. It's that simple.

I ALWAYS have stuff on my desk! This was the perfect challenge for me. Here's what I did! Thanks Kimberly, I love all your projects, you're a great inspiration! http://ruthsstampingcorner.blogspot.com/2013/04/wait-two-in-row.html
There is so much stuff on my desk…more so on the outter edges….yes, I will try to pull something together – once the cat moves….LOL!!! No honestly, his favorite place, other than my lap, is my crafting table…serves me right for not having a room with a door!!! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!
I am proud to say that today, this rainy, windy day, I cleaned off my tables. There's not a sliver of anything on them. I vacumed the floor. And, I sorted and arranged all my solid papers. My room is so clean, I'll never find anything again! Why or why did I do that???
What a fun challenge, Kimberly! I love using up my scraps, and this was fun to put together while I waited for Amazing Race to come on 😉 Have a great week! Erika
