I have big news today. Maybe it's not really really big news but after my debacle the other day with Mr. Swallowtail I was pretty bummed. My mojo has been in high gear lately until Mr. Swallowtail. I have another date with him this weekend. We will be friends!!
Keeping in a positive mood that today's stamping escapade would be a much better experience, I am pleased to report— It was!!!
I found two stamp sets that jived together like Peanut Butter & Jelly.
I was already in love with the By the Tide stamp set (129120) and fell in love even more when I paired it with the Perfectly Penned stamp set (122892). I started with my Sent with Love Designer paper and then started layering. You can see a little of my Paper Doily hanging out. I used my Top Note die cut which had not seen it's partner Big Shot in a LONG time.
I stamped the coral image and shell with VersaMark Ink and used my Pewter Embossing Powder over it. Look how beautiful that Pewter embossing powder is. WOW!
I decided I would bedazzle my card just a wee bit more. At the top of the Top Note you can see the script image stamped in Sahara Sand. I used my Spritzer Tool and Basic Gray marker to add a "spritz" of color at the top of the Top Note.
*Tip: Remember to hold the spritzer tool higher from your project so you can achieve a better splatter.
Because I'm on a BIG Vellum kick right now I decided to stamp my Thank You from Perfectly Penned onto the Vellum and embossed it using the Pewter embossing powder. I used this as my banner and attached to the Top Note die cut by folding the left edge onto the backside of the Top Note. To make sure that the Vellum stayed in place I attached the Silver Designer button so it laid onto the Vellum and the Top Note die cut.
*NOTE* I used the thread from my Pop Up Posies kit to thread the Silver Designer button. I tied two knots in the thread to give it that "nautical" look. Once I attached the Top Note to the card base I wanted to add a little more bedazzle so I added a few rhinestones randomly on the card. It's just enough sparkle.
Above you will see the same card, just a different pattern of Designer Paper from the Sent with Love DSP.
I think this card is sea worthy! What do you think? You can find all the supplies in my Online Store!

Whoa, I have never even thought of stamping gold on gold cs! Fan-tastic! Really love how the DSP changes the whole look too, the darker one is nicely masculine.
