We Make Quite the Pair
Not only am I speaking of my stamp greeting today but Russ and I too.
As you know Russ still struggles daily with the use of his right arm. It’s the slowest EVER to recover. Even the slightest movement that we see in a finger we get excited. He’ll go for Botox again on June 10th. I’m excited as I plan to put my forehead as close to his arm and pray for the needle to slip right to a wrinkle or two on my forehead.
In all seriousness, we are looking forward to this appointment as the Botox is helping.
In other Van Deep in trouble news….
It’s looking like Brandon will be starting Summer vacay early as he’s had a fever for the last two days. He spiked a fever on Tuesday and I can’t get rid of the darn thing. He’s been miserable plus he wanted to spend time with his friends before the end of the year. Instead he has been on the couch in a fever stupor. Looks like this mama will be bringing him to the Dr. tomorrow.
Alexis has a big day today. It’s her 5th Grade graduation. I can’t believe it. No more Elementary school. I must be really hormonal as this has kinda rocked my world a bit. My baby, no more elementary school. I’m thinking I didn’t have enough school lunches with her. Seriously. I should have had more school pizza. Sigh. Time flies. It really does.
Saturday she had her first Ballet Recital. I was blown away with everything she had learned in a year. I was so proud.
I’m sure you can relate to the end of school year C R A Z Y! It’s running me crazy. I’m ready for the gems to be home for Summer.
SO, why do Russ and I make a great pair? There are many reasons but today I am only sharing one.
While Russ’ right arm doesn’t work, my LEFT arm is not 100%. I have a case of “tennis elbow!” In other terms… my elbow hurts! Really bad! Nope, I haven’t been playing tennis but I sure have been stamping. <grin>
I have the necessary tools to make my elbow feel better but the brace is a real pain to wear when stamping. I’m not a good patient.
I’m trying to rest my arm but HELLO, how can that be done??
Anyways…. Let me share my card.
Once again I’m using my Project Life cards to create a hand made card. I love them. I also used the Retro Fresh Journaling Cards to complete it. That little man and woman still make me smile and I’ve hoarded a bunch. My sweet customer Diann even sent me more. <giggle> I have an obsession with wooden people.

AW, hope Brandon feels better soon, it’s probably a virus, there is so much going around. Alexis looks beautiful. She was such a darling baby and she is now a beautiful young lady. Glad to hear that your Prince is doing well. You are too funny with the Botox. LOL OMG, I have had tennis and golf elbow which is the inside of the elbow for years now. I’ve tried everything 🙁 Sadly, I’ve just learned to live with the pain, which is every single day, I seem to just block it out. Anyway, gorgeous card. Hobby Lobby sells those people, they are so darn cute. 🙂
What a great update on everyone! I saw the video of Russ dancing and I laughed my butt off! I think it’s a great thing that in spite of everything you are able to laugh and enjoy yourselves. I sure hope Brandon is feeling better real soon. Pribably a virus but hope the Dr. can figure it out. Alexis looks fabulous and just glows in her picture from her recital! She’s really a beauty! Can you do physical therapy for your elbow? Hope you find some relief!
Love your wooden people .. they make me laugh too!
I hope Brandon gets well soon. Poor guy missing the last days of the school year. Your daughter looks so great in her recital photo. She looks so grown up! Love the dress. Thanks for the update on the whole family. I hope that you all continue to make progress. I’m so glad that you and Russ were able to go on the cruise and have a great time! Wow. Love that you are making a card with the new project life products. 🙂
Oh wow, poor Brandon – hopefully is up and moving by now! And Alexis – what a beauty she is and how lovely she looks in this picture – a ballerina indeed! So happy that you are seeing small improvements with Russ’s right hand/arm….and know how hard he is working to come back to his new normal! Your card is perfect for the two of you and you don’t need a birthday or anniversary to say how you feel….lucky both of you! Have a wonderful weekend!
