Three Beautiful People….

Three Beautiful People….

Beautiful people.  That’s what we have in our stamping community.

I’m reminded the past two weeks of a few things and I wanted to share with you.

In two weeks my stamping community has lost three beautiful people.

Being a part of Stampin’ Up! has always been a beautiful thing because there are so many beautiful things that have crossed my path during my 13 years as a demonstrator.

People.  Relationships.  This is it. This is why I love being part of this community.  It’s YOU.

The past two weeks we lost three beautiful demonstrators and it’s heartbreaking to see them go.  Selfishly I will miss their earthly bodies as well as what each one of them gave to me along the way in my journey with Stampin’ Up!

My friends Suzy Miller, Kristina Dodson and Joann Weimers are now with Jesus. Each of these ladies fought a hard battle. Suzy and Kristina both had ALS and Joann had other health problems.  Now they are free from all of that in Heaven and that gives me peace and I pray it gives their families peace.  Just thinking about the 3 of them together, stampin’ sisters… makes me smile.

Each one of these ladies made an impact on my life and none of it had to do with stamping.  They were just amazing women who cared.

That’s what we do friends.  We care about each other.  Stamping is just the bonus.  I hope we never forget that.  Stamping is what brings us together, but at the end of the day we care about EACH OTHER.

I have to tell you… reading your comments on your family holiday traditions has been the highlight of my weekend.  I love reading them because they are exactly what sharing life together is all about.  We share the good, bad and ugly details with each other.  That’s what bonds our friendships.  Isn’t that a beautiful thing? I hope you are smiling.  Despite the sadness of these beautiful ladies passing, I smile knowing that their legacy in this community will always go on.  We will carry it on.

I didn’t get too much stamping time in this weekend but I definitely wanted to create cards for my friends families.  Honestly, this weekend was a big fat FLOP. The kids were at Church Camp and had a blast.  Meanwhile Russ and I sat dealing with my computer issues that turned out taking up an entire day.  I’m surprised we are still married after this fiasco.  Technology problems can bring out the best and worst of a relationship… Oh MY word.

Anyways…

Time to share what I did create…

Rose Wonder Sneak Peek

Beautiful, Rose Wonder Stamp Set, Stampin' Up!

Rose Wonder is going to be on everyone’s must have list.  I can almost bet this set will be the most popular in the Occasions catalog.

You know what that means… get it early. This set has coordinating Thinlits called Rose Garden and comes in a bundle.

Beautiful, Rose Wonder Stamp Set, Stampin' Up!

My favorite about this Rose Wonder stamp set is the greetings. They are crisp, and beautiful greetings.

Perfect occasion greetings and gorgeous stamp images.

Beautiful, Rose Wonder Stamp Set, Stampin' Up!

My favorite is the scripture verse included in this set.  It’s one of my favorites and so comforting.

Rose Wonder Stamp Set, Stampin' Up!

What do you think? I love the soft feel of this card. Maybe it’s because I added a bit of my favorite colors, Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride.

Either way, I’d love to hear what you think.

Will you do me a favor? Pray for my friends families. Pray for peace and healing during their time of grief and our stamping community.

I love you my friends. XOXOXO

WOW! I love this! It’s totally unique and beautiful! My set is coming tomorrow! I knew Suzy, an amazing very talented lady. Heaven is lucky!

This card is beautiful. I didn’t personally know Suzy although I fervently wish that I had, but admired everything about her from afar. I hope that one day I will get to meet her, in heaven! The reason I’m commenting today is that I finally got around to CASE-ing your “All Ye Faithful” card from a few weeks ago. Kimberly, I really liked that card but it is even more beautiful IRL! I liked it so much so that I turned it into a money holder for my dad. Had to alter the dimensions of course but it turned out great. Thank you so much for sharing. I don’t know you personally either but admire you from afar just as I did Suzy. Maybe one day at a Stampin’ Up! event I will have the opportunity to meet you.

  3. Absolutely gorgeous card and so beautifully appropriate for this time of loss and remembrance of your friends. My deepest sympathies to you.

  4. Lovely card – That bundle is on my list….. It really is about the relationships…..Suzy was the first presenter I saw at my first convention and she made a huge impact with that presentation. Years later, I asked her to take a photo of me standing in front a display at convention. She took quite a few photos, until she got the “right” one. It is one of the best photos of me, and whenever I look at that photo, I think of her….and SMILE. I hope I can search for each of their addresses, Joann, Kristina and Suzy’s to send a card to their families…..Thank you for always sharing with all of us.

  5. Oooooooooooooooo! These are BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING CARDS! This, too, is a MUST GET stamp set for me! Love the colors used. Sympathy cards are usually darker, but, we should REJOICE in that our friends and loved ones are now in heaven. JOY, peace, no pain, and walking with our AMAZING Saviour! Imagine that! What an awesome place to be. The color choices show your beautiful and understanding spirit! Since July 9th, I have had 5 surgeries on my left arm and Stamping or creating comes hard with a cast from my arm pit to fingertips. All due to a tumor inside my elbow. Each time, a 3 day hospital stay. Could you please send me a catalog this time as I would like to share with the nurses at the hospital. They love your style and I believe one or two wish to be distributors. ?
I just got scheduled for Dec. 24th surgery so if you have business cards send some. George, my fav R.N. is in love with your artistic talent! And, wants to join. Hugs and Blessings your way! Thank you for this gorgeous card idea!

  6. I’m so very sad to hear of Susy’s passing…..I remember what a great speaker, presenter, stamper and person she was. She will be hugely missed.
