Do you have a Reason to Smile today? After a crazy Sunday I have to say that I'm feeling pretty darn blessed today.  My mom had a few chest pains and blurred vision yesterday and that landed her in an overnight stay at the hospital.  All is well right now and all the tests came back okay.  She almost gave me a heart attack!  She is now on her way home to rest and will be following up with Doctors this week to see exactly what's going on.  She had red carpet care and was treated like a QUEEN.  Only thing that could be better is if I was at her side.

Despite this little set back, I do have many Reason's to Smile.  This card is one of them.  This is one of my swaps I made at Convention.  I used the stamp set called, Reason to Smile.  This is a current special with Stampin' Up! that goes until the end of this month.  You can read all about it HERE.

Here is the stamp set-

It can be ALL yours for $5 with your $50 order placed.  Now that's something to smile about. ;)

For this particular card I stamped the solid flower in Summer Starfruit (FAVORITE COLOR) and then stamped the lined flower image using Raspberry Ripple.  I then took a sponge dauber with More Mustard ink and sponged around the center of the flower to make it stand out just a tad bit more.

The sentiment came from the stamp set Kindness Matters

I also used the new Travel Journal builder wheel.

  1. Oh Kim I will say a prayer for your Mom. I bet it almost gave you a heart attack. That is tough to go through! Love your card. Stamping hugs going to you and yours. Hugs, Bev

This is a beautiful card!!!  I just got home from my first convention yesterday and am not totally aware of everything yet – LOL!   So very happy to learn that your mom is okay now and hopefully will continue to be!!!  And she knew you were there in her heart….   I was very happy to meet you briefly with my up-up line Patty Bennett….and at the time that you had the accident with the coffee…you moved so fast and gracefully and happy that it was not hot enough to burn you!!!     Take good care and please keep us posted re your mom!

  4. Oh Carol, that made me laugh all over again. That was an EPIC fail when it came to my coordination holding coffee and swapping. ROFL. I am so glad you had a great time at convention. It’s a GREAT event and the best part is meeting demonstrators and creating new friendships along the way!! XOXOXO
