Remedy for the Blahs

I spoke yesterday about being in such a funk over the last few weeks and I think I found a few remedies for it.  I've always known what the remedy has been but sometimes you need a friend to jerk it out of you.  Thank God for my friends and all of you that read and give me a lift.

So yesterday my girlfriend called me and said, "What's up Funky?"  I belted out a loud laugh and thought to myself that was exactly what I needed to hear.  It just made me belly laugh. If you are in a blah mood, friends are what can shake it out of you. After speaking with a few of my girlfriends yesterday I went to bed still chuckling over the conversations.  The other remedy was making the short walk downstairs into my stamp room.  I received my Holiday Mini pre-order of stamps yesterday.  I dug into the box and pulled everything Halloween out and started creating.  I LOVE, LOVE creating Halloween stuff.  By the end of the night I had created 6 cards and felt pretty good about finding my creative side once again.  I will start sharing these creations this week.  ;)

Here is another card I made this past week.  I love the set For the Birds, #126407.  This is such a cute stamp set with all kinds of birdie images. If you are a birdie lover this stamp set is for you!

I'm pretty excited that I already have a layout completed of our trip to Iowa.  In fact, I have a few.  WHOA! Shut the front door!  That's unheard of for me.  Even better news I completed my Alaska album and a Florida vacation album and uploaded them to print.  I was giddy about it. When I had my little "26,000 lost photo" issue last week I promised myself to get busy and create these albums.  So I have and what a GREAT feeling.

  1. Just wanted you to know you were missed.  I'm glad you have friends that can take the 'funky' right out of you!!!  Can you send them my way???  I think that's what I need as well.  Can't wait to see your Halloween creations.  Can you believe we are even thinking about that?  I think I just put away my Valentine's stamps.  Happy Stamping!

Friends and some family members are truly the medicine we often need to help us go from funky to funny….and obviously that is what you needed along with crafting in your room….welcome back!    Darling card and great pictures of you (finally!) and your kidlits!  TFS!

  3. She's got her groove back!  🙂  Love your creations today and glad you're 'feeling better'.  I enjoyed a stamping marathon weekend with a friend last weekend and it was just what I needed to find my creative side again.  Stamping this weekend too as I get ready for convention!  Woo Hoo!!!

  4. I've really missed your posts!  I just love your MDS scrapbooking style and keep trying to be like you!!  I loved looking at your Alaska book.  Makes me get my butt in gear!  We returned from our Alaska trip June 1 and I have been working to put my book together – also using World Traveler!  We did a driving tour instead of a cruise but it was awesome!  Glad you are back and hope out of your funk.  Friends are great!

  5. Welcome back! I was getting worried! I kept checking back & you weren't here.
I can't wait to see your Halloween stuff. I LOVE Halloween!!!  I've made a couple new friends here at S.U. & they are both Halloween fanatics too! :0)
I like the bird card. The lacy touch is nice!

  6. Sharon, thank you! It was super easy putting that album together using that digital template. I added very little to that album and really stuck to the templates only so I could finish that book. It’s inspired me to get a few more trip albums completed. Working on my Paris book. YIppie.
