The word QUIET usually is never associated with my personality but I guess it's how I would describe how things have been the last four weeks. Not only has it been busy but I've been in a little funk. I guess the crazy chaotic life I'm leading has caught up with me. I see light at the end of the tunnel so this is good news and maybe the funky feeling will leave quickly.
There is no doubt we have been busier than we've ever been. The kids are keeping us running and it's all exciting things they are doing. Here is a quick run down of the last few weeks:
*School ended. What a relief. I must learn to say NO when it comes to volunteering. I really had myself in a mess when I over volunteered for too many activities. Go figure.
*We took a trip to Iowa. It was a fast trip but a lot of fun seeing family we had not seen in awhile. I was able to see a friend who moved from Colorado to Iowa and we hadn't seen each other in two years. I ended up taking Brandon to the Dr. while we were there for a Sinus Infection. A vacation would never be complete without a trip to the Dr.
*Once back from vacation we started the rat race again. The kids are on the Summer Swim team and the early morning practices have me groggy. I'm 100% NOT a morning girl. Getting the kids to the pool at 730am has rocked my world. Then bring on the 615am Saturday morning meets and WHOA! Completely insane. With that being said it's changed my working schedule dramatically. Late night stamping just doesn't happen. When my normal stamping time rolls up I'm typically on the couch in a coma type state just dreaming about what stamping would be like. Ahhhhh! Just NOT right.
Lastly, this past weekend we had a tragedy in our family. My sister in law lost her brother (only 31) to a tragic car accident last Saturday in Florida. He died on July 3rd. It was a head on collision and he just couldn't recover from his injuries. I wish I was able to be with my family in Florida. It sucks to be so far away. Please pray for her and her family in the days to come. What gives me peace of mind is their faith in God.
The big question would be… Have I been crafty at all? Yes and No. I've created a little bit in the last 4 weeks. In the midst of all this chaos I had one more thing that kept me busy for over a week. I upgraded my computer two weeks ago. In the process of migrating my old computer to the new I somehow lost all my components in my MDS file. The file wouldn't transfer and I spent time with the amazing people at Stampin' Up! desperately trying to help me. Needless to say I had to re-download approx 650 files myself. Oh WOW was that a mess. The good that came out of it was seeing downloads I had forgotten about. There is something positive in all situations, right? Another MAJOR problem with the computer migration was my photo program. This was a bigger mess when I realized 26,000 photos were MISSING!! They were no where. Panic, crying (actually I believe it was the ugly sob) cannot begin to describe the emotions I was going through. I'm happy to report the wonderful people of Apple saved the day over a three day period. I am grateful, GRATEFUL for their expertise and how they helped me recover everything. SO, once this BIG ole mess was fixed I did go down to my stamp room and create a few cards. I'll be starting to share again and get my groove on once again.
I used the stamp set Bootiful Occasions. You can find this on Page 50 of the New Idea Book & Catalog. I just love this stamp set. It was my MUST have set when the catalog came out. I made this for a group of my stampers to make last week. I had my club come over for a free night of stamping. I just wanted them to know how much I loved them and putting up with ME. We had a great time and it's always fun to just sit and create with friends. See below for a list of products I used.
Products Used:
Stamps: Bootiful Occasions

I've also been SUPER busy with MDS now that I'm back up and running. There are so many new downloads and fun MDS things in the new catalog. I just love it all. I'm working on about 5 projects with MDS. Does this surprise you? LOL! I am putting together a few travel books that are LONG over due. I'm using pre-designed pages and really concentrating more on the journaling. Here is a single page I made recently.

Sooooooo glad you are back with us – these two projects are wonderful!!! You have to post everyday now to make up for the lost time…. ๐
So sorry about your sister-in-law's brother. Family in my prayers. Take care and looking forward to more postings. Love the card!
Blessings,
Deborah
Hi Kimberly. Your life has been crazy lately and so sorry about your brother in law. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I think we all go through funky periods but all I can say is thank goodness we have so many friends in the stamping world that can help us along and support us during those funky times and get us through them.. You have been there for many of us and we are here for you……… so …….. what kind of computer did you get? I am getting ready to get a new one myself for use in the stamp room and looking at a wireless desktop MAC instead of another laptop. I figure the IPAD kind of took the place of that. Anyway hang in there girl.
How nice to "see" you again!! I am SO sorry for your loss and wish you much peace at this difficult time. (((HUGS)))
Like many others, I have missed your posts and so happy to see you back! So very sorry about your SIL's brother…tragic and sending prayers and hugs to all of you! Glad things have generally been good for you and your family. I think many of us can truly appreciate your computer issues and glad to know all is well again. Love the card!!! Wonderful bright colors. Your Brandon page is great as well. Best of luck and look forward to seeing more regular posts from you!
I'm new to your site, but wanted to say I LOVE your rain boot card. I was on the fence about purchasing this set, and now I'm adding it to my "must have" list.
I'm sorry about the loss of your family member. So tragic.
always love when you are back! so sorry to hear about your family's loss. i live in fl and it seems like fatal car accidents are in the news daily. hope things quiet down for ya to get stampin again soon.
Thank you so much, MJ. XOXO
Thank you Kristin and welcome to my site. ๐ It’s normally a little busier. Keep watching… it will get better. ๐
Thank you Christyne. ๐ It’s odd for this loud mouth to be quiet. LOL. ๐
Morning Debbie,
Thank you for the continued thoughts and prayers. I do wish I could be there in Florida with my family. Sucks to be so far away. ๐ As for my upgrade…. I upgraded my macbook pro. I needed a bigger hard drive. ๐ Kimberly has too much stuff on her computer. I have an iPad and I love it however I like having my laptop to take places and I can work on the go. You can do a lot on the iPad too but not as much as I can do on my laptop. The iMac is a great computer too. I don’t think you can go wrong in the Apple department. LOL. ๐
Thank you Deborah! XOXO
LOL, Kristina… I know. I have a lot of catch up to do. YIKES. XOXO
