Creative Explosion!

Yes, I'm calling it a CREATIVE Explosion because I've been so busy the last three days and I'm about to give you a CREATIVE explosion of projects.  I feel the need to catch you up to speed!  Grab a drink and sit awhile.  It's a big ONE!

This weekend I had a run on creativity.  It's not often I get that moment where all the stars align correctly and the creative mojo overflows.  When it happens I take FULL advantage of it and keep the creativity running until it just runs out.  The good news… it's not running out.  I don't know what it is lately but I am so excited about the products Stampin' Up! has available it keeps my mind on OVERDRIVE!

The colors on this card just make me HAPPY!  You know I'm a huge fan of the Summer Starfruit, but adding Basic Gray, Pool Party and Crumb Cake was icing on the cake.  I was also excited to try something new with the Window Frames.  I love these Framelits and all the great sizes that are available with it.  I used the smallest window frame and die cut 5 of them.  I started this card by die cutting one of the larger frames on a 4 x 5 1/4" sheet of cardstock. I then took the "stencil" of the Window Frame and placed it over the Summer Starfruit cardstock and sprayed the Gold Glow Smooch Spritz over it.  It created a nice spray of the Gold Spritz on the Summer Starfruit.  Once that was created and dried I stamped the smaller frames and adhered them onto the cardstock.  Overall, that Gold Smooch Spritz made such a difference.

I'm still working on my December Daily album.  I'm loving this and love that we will be able to look back on the daily memories of December 2012.  To make this album even more fun, once it's created and printed I plan to have the kids share their stories using our Talking Tags and placing them into the album.  HOW COOL IS THAT?

Are you looking for Creative gift packaging ideas? This small little "gift bag" was created using the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die Cut.  This die cut has been a favorite of mine for a long time.  I decided to make a little gift bag to place a jewelry piece inside for a friends birthday.  It was a perfect fit.

To create the gift box, die cut your DSP using the Fancy Favor Bigz Die Cut. Make crisp folds on all the scored edges.

Put the box together except DO NOT adhere the bottom together.  Die Cut one of the Window Frames that can fit folded over the top of the box and fold over making a crisp fold.

At this point the decorating can be up to you.  I decided to take my nifty Sewing Machine and sewed across the Window Frame.

I then layered ribbon across and sewed that as well.  The buttons were hand sewn using Linen Thread.

I then attached a simple tag using my Vintage Trinkets and Viola', the gift bag was created.

Now, once you place your "giftie" inside simply close the bottom using adhesive.  I didn't use Sticky Strip like I normally would because I wanted my friend to open it from the bottom.

Clever packaging and she can re-use just like we re-use store bought gift bags.  You can find more great ideas for quick Gift Packaging HERE.
