While I totally understand we are SMACK DAB in the middle of the Christmas season, the Affection Collection stamp set was calling my name for attention.  Sometimes it's good to rest the brain with a different season.  Besides, Valentines isn't too far off and… It's officially my 6 year blog Anniversary!!  This card is dedicated to YOU!! Thank you for following!

You will want to scroll down for MY Give-Away!! YIPPIE!!!!

The Affection Collection stamp set can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  If it's a stamp set that you feel calling your name, get it before the Holiday Mini stamp sets go away in January.

I thought this card would be perfect for my Wacky Wednesday! This card is literally WRAPPED up with a belly band.  I had seen a card very similar on Pinterest and I was drawn to the design of creating a Belly Band for a card.  I never do this and thought it was unique and wacky all at the same time.  Tip: You could even create a "secret message" using our Talking Tags underneath the Belly Band.

To create this card I stamped the Very Vanilla cardstock using Pool Party ink and the swirly stamp image.  Well, it's not so swirly but I don't know what you call that image? Pretty it is.  I also used my Travel Journal Wheel randomly and very lightly over the cardstock.  After was stamped I textured embossed using the Chevron Embossing Folder and and sewed round the cardstock.  Once attached, I added a banner to the top left and attached to the Crumb Cake cardstock.

The belly band was created using the First Edition DSP which was stamped randomly using Summer Starfruit and Pool Party ink.  Once I had the DSP wrapped around the card I wrapped Pool Party Twine around several times.  I love how the focal image from the Affection Collection fits perfectly on the Window Frame Framelit and it was attached using dimensionals.   If you want to add a little shimmer mist to the focal image, do this before adding to the card.

The last bit of this card was adding a little more POP of color.  I used Not Quite Navy and stamped the greeting onto a Modern Label punch.  Make the Label a little tattered and attach to the focal point.

Are you ready to create using the Affection Collection?

What about a Give-Away?

I'm clicking away and preserving the memory. I hope you are inspired to begin your own.
