Creative Color

Ray of Sunshine stamp set, Stampin' Up!
Do you ever get bogged down in your creative groove because you are color challenged?

This can be so frustrating for me.  I know what I want to create but sometimes I’m not sure what color combo’s to use.  Even better when I have a specific color I want to use but not sure what colors to add to it.

And even better than that… the colors don’t match the theme I’m wanting to use.  Regardless, color can be TRICKY.

One of my favorite go-to places on the BIG web is a color inspiration board on Pinterest.  I created this awhile ago and each time I see a color combination that strikes my fancy I pin away.  You can see it HERE.

For today’s card inspiration I really wanted to use Soft Sky for my main color.  Here are a few Color Combo’s I found to start the wheels turning.

Ray of Sunshine stamp set, Stampin' Up!Here are a few color combinations that caught my eye when creating this card.  I loved the purple hues.

Color Combinations Color Combinations Color CombinationsOnce I chose the Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder  color combination the third color was a breeze.  Neutrals go with anything so I chose to go with a splash of Crumb Cake by adding a button.  I love this creative color combination.

If you look closely you can see how the vellum banner really softens the purple hues quite a bit.  Makes it very soft looking.
