Creative Gift Giving

Creative Gift Giving

Butterfly Basics, Butterfly Thinlits Dies, Stampin' Up!

Many times we think of creative gift giving only during the Christmas season.  As paper crafters we can be creative with our gift giving all the time and not even on a holiday! WOW I love that.

Alexis has another gym meet today.  This time we are traveling about 2.5 hours to Panama City, FL.  She is pretty excited.

This week during practices I kept telling her to “focus!”  It’s so easy to get distracted by the little things.  Her main distraction is feeling defeated when not getting an element correct after a few tries.  You can tell right away when she is focused only on the defeat and not the success of the other amazing flippity flops she did.

I wanted to make a quick and special treat before the meet.  Just to give her a little more encouragement and a boost in confidence.  Don’t we ALL need that? It’s that feel good thing we tend to forget to do sometimes.  Yet when we do it for others we also feel a boost of confidence because we made a difference for someone else.

Anywyas, I hope she likes it and most of all I hope it helps her to remain focused.

Butterfly Basics, Butterfly Thinlits Dies, Stampin' Up!
I started this card off honestly by  just goofing around.  My mom was here and I wanted to show her how beautiful the Butterfly Thinlits Dies were.  Then I noticed a beautiful stencil with the biggest butterfly once it was die cut.  With a  little Calypso Coral , Crisp Cantaloupe and VersaMark Ink Pad I was able to achieve this elegant butterfly card.

When adding the VersaMark, I just sponge daubed around the stenciled area and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  I love how you can see through it with the smaller die cut butterfly.

To create the word “focus” I used my Alphabet Rotary stamp.  I LOVE this stamp for all the different words I can create.  It’s perfect.  I’ll have a video shoot with this guy later this week.  Butterfly Basics, Butterfly Thinlits Dies, Stampin' Up!Isn’t the gold perfect??

I also made her a little pillow gift that is filled with Chocolate.  Chocolate makes everything better and surely will help keep her focused.

I’m off to the big meet.  It’s going to be a long busy day.  I’ll keep you posted on how she does and i’ll come back with a product list.  I have a 12 yr old starring at me with BIG eyes.  I guess her taxi isn’t fast enough.  Hmmm….

XOXOXO
