Chaos meets Reality!

***NOTE: All personal tonight.  I'm posting a pretty stampin' project next!

It's true! I live a chaotic blessed life and the reality of it is I sometimes enjoy it.  Who in there right mind enjoys CHAOS? I'm not sure I would say that I really enjoy it but it's the reality right now.  The reality is we are getting everything ready for the Prince to go on his vacation.  This means everything we wanted to do with our house gets done in a matter of weeks.  It's the important things like putting a new toilet seat in the kids bathroom that HAS me in a RUSH.  It's silly when you really think about it.  In fact Russ and I have been giggling over the many things we WANT done but reality is there isn't time and what is more important is just spending time with him and the kids.  Awkward moments of starring at each other become laughing fits.  Again, chaotic but good. Many of you have asked how the kids are doing.  I think they are doing well.  My little girl always has me scratching my head with her emotional roller coaster days but she is a GIRL and we do that. I'm prepared to hold, cuddle and be there for the tears.  I was thinking about going to Build a Bear to get my OWN personal bear to cry on for the days I will need it.  I'm not going to lie- I WILL NEED IT!  Again, the reality is life goes on and the best thing for me to do is keep our fun chaotic life going full swing with the addition of a housekeeper!

I have a few goals to meet while the Prince is away.  I think it helps.  The big one is taking a picture EVERY day whether good or bad so Russ can be a part of everything even miles away.  Since I just upgraded the camera I am completely lost and my pictures have not been pretty. I am taking a photography course and I am happy to say that things are looking better.  Whoo Hoo!  Here was a picture of the Mr. that I took and I was really pleased.

Not only will I scrapbook these cuties I think they will make it to a picture frame inside my house.  I think the kids will like one of their daddy in their bedroom.  Hopefully I can get more pics of all of them. Right now everyone runs when I get the camera out.  LOL!

Hope you don't mind me sharing some of my new photo skills.  Most of them will be stamped projects.  ;)

Speaking of that… time for me to go upload my latest project.  Check back in just a few! It will be live within the hour.

XOXOXO

  3. HUGS, PRAYERS, LOVE TO YOU!  You are incredible and I know this is going to be very HARD for you and your family, and you have every right to feel the way you do.  You know what I said before, and  please feel free to vent to me anytime!  I don't have more than the next person on my plate, so it's no bother!
    Love to you,

  4. I am keeping all of you in my prayers.  I understand how tough the vacation can be.  We are a Coast Guard family who just did the big move from West to East coast and hubby is now stationed on a ship.  Granted it is not as long of vacations as your hubby's but the gone 2-3 months home 1-2 months is tough on a family….especially the kiddos.  We have almost 10 yr old (Natalee), 8 yr old (Aiden) and 20mth old (Deleyna) and boy do we every all go on the emotional roller coaster ride! You mentioned Build-a-Bear and we all went to the store and Del put a personal recording into each of the kids bears.  I think that would be a wonderful thing to do for your kiddos and they can hear his voice whenever they need too.  It's never the same but it does help them.  I love your blog and your are so creative and extremely talented.  Your pictures that you took are wonderful and yes, your kids would love to have the picture of their dad.  My kids each have a special photo of daddy framed in their rooms.  I will be following how well you like your camera too.  My digital canon slr is now 9 years old and slowly going.  It has taken sooo many pictures for us but I'm ready to upgrade and have been looking at the one you just received.  Ok, I've blah blah blah enoughed on your blog.  I will continue to keep your family in my prayers and wish you all the very best!!!!

I'm so far behind on my blog addiction.  I love this chair card.  I've got Have A Seat on the way and I just can't wait to get my hands on it.  I know it's different, but chairs none the less. LOL And Countryside and Nature Walk from the mini. I was hostess at card class last week and I'm getting a ton of stuff.  How Fun!  Your Pics are great, looks like you're catching on to that new camera lickedy split.  And yes, you need your own teddy bear to snuggle just because it helps.  ((BIG paper crafty hugs from Missouri))

  6. Great job on your photo shots.
I have to agree with you, spend as much time as you can as a family that's the MOST IMPORTANT thing, and I know it's hard but try not to think about it. AND KEEP BUSY!! BTW I have a build a bear I lean on too. Hang in there!
