Boys to Men- You Need This Laugh!

Boys to Men!

For just one second did you think I was talking about Boys 11 Men? Like the band? Oh my gosh…. do you remember them?? I think I had a few mix tapes cassettes of their songs. I listened to them with my BIG boom box sitting on my shoulder walking the neighborhood.  Yes, I really did. (please tell me you remember them or I will feel old!)

Okay, so I’m not talking about the band, but now do you have the song End of the Road in your head? I’ve helped you out today and posted it at the bottom of the post!

So I’m really talking about cards for BOYS and Men! Yes. I have a few for you.  A few of you asked On Bended Knee (bwhahahahah) if I would create a few… so I did.

Let’s start with boys… they are much easier, literally!
Sea Street stamp set, Stampin' Up!
I know this was one of the sets that many of you struggled with- Sea Street.  I loved the Octopus because he looked so happy.  There are some very cute images in this set like the school of fish.  SO cute.  I decided to pair this set with another one that was on the list called So You. This set is perfect for scrappers or card makers.  I decided to use the Happy greeting next to the Octopus.  Described him well- happy!

I also noticed in my crafting stash that I have an over abundance of Washi Tape that is sitting and dusty.  I loved how this turned out by placing strips of Washi behind the circle die cut.  The stars were also from the So You stamp set.  Then I punched them using the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  Perfect fit.
I will tell you that I’m not listing the Washi in my links below because I’m not exactly sure where they all come from.  Most of them are from Project Life Accessory Kits.  As you can see it’s not hard to coordinate them together.

Let’s talk about that men now.

This week we’ve discussed that the man card is tough.  I did a big overhaul with my stamp sets to see what exactly I had on hand for men.  I came to the quick conclusion… not much.  I do know that feathers are manly.  They like to hunt, so surely they would like a feather or two, or three!

Four feathers stamp set, Masculine Card, Stampin' Up!

This card is very clean and simple.  I used the Adventure Bound DSP (very small strip) and decided to just layer a few elements.  To be truthful with you, I have a bag on my desk with remnants of card pieces and die cuts that are waiting to be used.  I pulled every element out of that bag to create this card.  I wanted to add so many do dads, but instead I added to quick staples to the feathers and they will stay put forever.  Gotta love that.

Four feathers stamp set, Masculine Card, Stampin' Up!
Believe it or not, I’m not done with my manly cards.  I know, I know.  I can’t believe it either.  You’ll want to check back tomorrow to see my favorite yet.  It made me cry, so you know there must be a story to it.

Now, just in case you are still reading and still humming a Boys 11 Men song… I’ve got your back.  Sit back and enjoy for just a minute.
