Fresh New In Colors- Artisan Blog Hop

Hooray for FRESH & NEW! The In Colors are now available and I’m excited to share a project that really shows their beauty!

First, let me tell you that I kept these cards simple, and quickly duplicatable for mass production.  If you ever hear the words MASS production from me, it will always be followed by the word- QUICK!  I am a lazy stamper so it has to be that way.

In Colors, Stampin' Up!, Artisan

I pulled out my new stamp set Love & Affection and wanted to see how this set looked with all of the new In Colors.  WOWSA. I don’t know what I love the most… the colors, the embossing folder or the beautiful cardstock.  They all made my heart do a little pitter patter.

Dapper Denim…. isn’t it so Dapper?

Create It!

Each of the cards are the same design with the only difference being the colors used.

  • Start with your card base of Whisper White 4-1/4 x 11.  Mat with another piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 using dimensionals.
  • Stamp the flower image and center pieces onto a the top portion of a Whisper White cardstock 4 x 5-1/5.  Each of the center flowers used Crushed Curry ink.  Layer a piece of Vellum cardstock 4 x 5-1/4 over the Whisper White using Fast Fuse.  Make sure to place Fast Fuse around the middle of the Vellum so that the adhesive does not show.
  • Texture emboss using the Floral Affection Impressions Folder using the Big Shot with each of the new In Color cardstock measuring 2-7/8 x 4. Mat each of the embossed cardstock pieces onto another piece of cardstock the same color measuring 3-1/8 x 4.
  • Stamp the greeting (which I love by the way!) onto Basic Black cardstock (3/4 x 3-3/4) using VersaMark ink and then heat emboss with White Embossing powder.  Create a banner on the end of the Basic Black cardstock and attach to the Texture Embossed layers using a Handheld Stapler and then onto card front using Fast Fuse.

What is your favorite?

I would love to hear from you… What is your favorite? I noticed I was stingy and didn’t share a full card of the Sweet Sugarplum In Color.  It’s a beautiful shade of purple that I guarantee is going to be a hit.  So which one does your eye capture first? AND a big question… Which one do you think is MY favorite??
