Splitcoaststampers- Are you a Member?
I realize that inspiration comes from EVERYWHERE. We are so lucky we have the resources for crafters today.
I remember when I first started with Stampin’ Up! my main source of inspiration was my Stampin’ Up! catalog or a crafting magazine. In fact I never left a grocery store without picking up the latest issue of a magazine.
I miss the days of coming home with that magazine and brewing a cup of coffee and enjoying a few hours of being inspired on my couch!
Online Communities
Many moons ago (I think 2004) I became a part of an online community called SplitcoastStampers. I was a huge part of the community and loved seeing so much inspiration. Get this… I was even a gallery moderator back in the day.
When my business started to rise and time started to decrease, I spent less time there.
Over the last couple of years I became more involved and started uploading my projects again and use Splitcoast as a source of inspiration when I need a kick start to my own creative process.
Now… I didn’t mean to keep this a secret but somehow I missed telling anyone about this exciting news that happened 5 months ago. Yes- back in January.
In January I was asked to be a part of SplitcoastStampers Dirty Dozen Design Team. WHOA!
This was HUGE for me.
A little back story….
I remember when the Dirty Dozen was introduced on SplitcoastStampers. It was the elite stampers that we as community gushed over. It was crafters that WOW’d you to an incredible level and pushed you to try new things. Every month on the 15th we would wait for the unveiling of WHO the next member of this ELITE group would be joining the team.
Now I had been asked to join this team 12 years later after joining SplitcoastStampers.
I’m completely humbled and continue to be after the last 5 months. It’s a 6 month term and it’s almost over. It’s flown by.
Now the projects that I’ve created for this team are nestled into a private gallery. It’s part of being a Splitcoast Fan Club Member. If you are a member, you have access to the Dirty Dozen Gallery every month. Each month the theme changes and there are TONS of challenges that YOU can take part in.
There are lots of benefits for being a fan club member besides seeing this gallery. There are tons (like LOTS AND LOTS) of challenges and tutorials that you can play along with as well.
Sneak Peek
Today I wanted to share a few pieces that I’ve shared over the last 5 months. It’s just a sneak peek. I’ve uploaded tons of projects to my main gallery but there are a little over 30 projects that are exclusive. If you are not a member of the Fan Club, I would look into it. If you have stamp sets from years gone by, you would be able to see a ton of inspiration for that stamp set and MUCH more. It’s a gem of a place to hang and you are bound to make a few friends along the way there too.
Just in case you are wondering… No, I get nothing if you join except a smile on my face. I’m only telling you about it because I love to share. I love to tell you about great resources that can inspire you.
Some of these projects below have products that will be retiring.
Textured Embossed Vellum and Watercoloring on the same card almost makes me SQUEAL!
I die cut the butterfly using the Butterflies Thinlits on Watercolor paper and then did a quick brush of colors using my Aqua Painter over the butterfly.
I haven’t used this Bear Hugs stamp set much, but these bears are adorable and the options are endless.
Miss Lion sits on my desk. When I look at her I say, “Hear me ROAR!” She’s reminding me to be strong during times I feel defeated.
Hey, it happens. Pyramid Pals Thinlits are the bombdiggity.
Shine bright like a diamond. If you listen to Rhianna, then you know the song. I believe our theme that month was music. Talk about stretching my creativity. OH WOW.
I have one more month on the team and then I become an Alumni. Once a DD always a DD.
It’s been an incredible ride and I’m grateful for SplitcoastStampers and the members who contribute their work.

I hope you had an amazing holiday weekend and thanks for letting me spill the beans.
XOXOXO
Important News!
Please be advised- If you hit the no contact button I have no way of sending your free gift or the tutorial.
This makes me incredibly sad as I appreciate your business and have no way of thanking you.
PS-Thanks for stopping by today. XOXO

WOW Kimberly, that is so awesome. I love love love Splitcoaststampers. I’ve been getting inspiration from that site for years. I am so glad you were a part of it. 🙂 Thanks for sharing that great news.
Also, I have been a member with Splitcoaststampers for years, thanks for reminding me how great that site is. I have to visit it more often again. I love the swaps that they have. OMG I love that lion. I am a Leo so that made me smile 🙂
Unfortunately I am not a fan club member though. The prices are very cheap to join, just haven’t thought about it. But gee Kimberly, maybe now I’ll have to look into it. 🙂 Sorry for posting separate comments. LOL
Splitcoast Stampers kept me going when I first started stamping! My sis-in-law introduced me to SU! and then I promptly moved halfway across the country! SCS kept my addiction going strong. Then Pinterest came along and I got sidetracked… I’ve been thinking of going back…maybe just feeling guilty…thanks for the shout-out. 😉
Congratulations on being part of the Dirty Dozen! I LOVE Splitcoaststampers. I have been a member for 10 years and the tutorials, challenges, special events, inspiration, and PEOPLE make it a beautiful place to hang out. I visit everyday!
