A Day in My Life…

A day in my life can be pretty complicated and I could make an entire scrapbook on the days we have.

That’s exactly what I’m sharing today.  A layout based on a day in my life.  It was hard to choose which day to pick because each day brings so many new crazy challenges.  Years ago I created a few layouts of a day in my life and I love love to pull these layouts out and read the journaling.  The days of sitting in the carpool like talking about the over zealous parents that sit in the line for 45 minutes to be first in line to pick up their kids or the days of diaper changing.  Funny stuff… but much of it was NOT funny at the time.

I kinda feel the same about it today.  There are so many little distractions that come from my day to day living that I would love to change but right now it’s not possible.  Just like my past crazy days, they get better (somedays are not) and I’ll be able to laugh at this new one just the same.

I encourage you to take this challenge and years from now laugh with me.

This layout describes this past Saturday.  Have you ever had one of those weekends where you were so busy and kids had to be in a different place at the same time.  That’s the trouble I was in Saturday.  Lucky for me I called my parents.  Alexis was signed up to sell cookies and Brandon had a swim meet.  I went one way with Brandon and my mom went the other way with Alexis.  Poor Russ stayed home and maintained and did his therapy.

At the start of my weekend I didn’t think we would get it all done.  It all worked out.

A typical day for me ALWAYS starts with the coffee pot.  I really do not function without it.  I like to sit and gather my thoughts with a cup of coffee before anyone wakes up.  Even if it’s 15 minutes, it’s QUIET.

Breakfast is totally on the go and I’m not really a breakfast eater.  I like breakfast for lunch or dinner but not early morning.  Let me say this too, early morning runs until 10am.

Although my Saturday was a little chaotic, the end of the day turned out to be well worth it.  I created, watched the Olympics and felt great.
