A Season of Tiles

Not only was I busy getting ready for our big Halloween Day, I was busy getting ready for a FABULOUS tile class I held here on Friday night.  It was a packed house and we went through 40 tiles.  WOWser!  These tiles are super spectacular for Holiday gifts!  Here are the ones we made:

The first tile uses the Medallion, Embrace Life, French Filigree and Charming Stamp set.  I used Tempting Turquoise Craft ink and Soft Suede classic ink for the tag.  The Fall tile uses the Autumn Splendor and En Francias stamp set.  I used Really Rust, Ruby Red and More Mustard Craft ink for this tile.  So pretty.  For the tag, I used the sentiment from the Season of Friendship stamp set.  I also used the Leaf Sizzix Die Cut.  I love this die cut during the Fall.  Makes beautiful leaves.  The next tile uses a stamp set we all love, Inspired by Nature.  Great Set!  Perfect for Tiles.  This uses Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip,  Rose Red and Regal Rose Craft inks.  The tag uses the sentiment from the stamp set and a Chocolate Chip corduroy button.  The small flower comes from the die cut Blossom Party, a Stampin' Up! exclusive.  So cute!  The last tile is my Winter tile.  I used the Beautiful Serene Snowflakes stamp set using Night of Navy, Brocade Blue craft ink and Silver Encore pad.  Loved these colors together.  The Night of Navy almost looks black.  Very striking.  Are you ready to make your Season of Tiles?  All you need to get started are a few tiles, Glassy Glaze Enamel (100477) and Craft ink.  Place your order today and I will send you a step by step tutorial on how to make these tiles.  Just click on the Order Now button to your right.  🙂

Remember: These are decorative tiles.  You will not want to use them as a Trivit or Coaster.  Just a pretty tile to be displayed in your home or work space.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

  2. You really amaze me Kim!  I am constantly on your site looking for inspiration, which you never fail to provide me! Thank you for always sharing your knowledge and creativity!

  3. Hi Kimberly! I know you are super busy getting your new home ready, so no worries if you don't see this question or don't have time to answer right now! I am making some tiles for a charity and just want to check before I goof: on the Medallion tile  and the Leaves tile, do you also stamp the background (the swirl on the Medallion tile and En Francais on the Leaves tile) in Craft ink? If so, do all the stamping and then pour on the glassy glaze? I know the main images use Craft but I am not sure about the background. Thank you for your help! Hope you are done painting! P.S. looking at your tile posts it is so sweet to see Alexis' handprint and the photo of Russ and Brandon!

  4. Hi Laura, Yes.  All images are in stamped using craft ink.  Once you have stamped everything apply your Glassy Glaze.  🙂  Then just put them in the oven and bake until you see the glaze turns clear.  Oven temp should be at 350.  Hope this helps.  They are a very fun project.  XOXO
