Hi friends! Wow, two weeks went by pretty quickly. I've been knee deep with children. Yes, I've been busy being a mother. Some days good, some days bad great. Every day brings new challenges and memories. Memories like:
-The new scratch on my car from my beautiful son putting his bike away. "It was really an accident, mommy!"
–The lawn mower not starting and me looking like a complete fool trying to start it! I'm sure you can imagine.
-Watching the kids find 300 eggs that I hand stuffed only hours prior for Easter. They had a blast.
–Over hearing the kids plan a Mother's Day surprise for me. I know I'm not supposed to listen, but hearing them collaborate was really the gift.
-Going on a field trip to a park with Alexis, she had a blast. I was exhausted.
-Wiping tears at night because we miss him.
-Laying in bed with the kids hearing how their day went and falling asleep next to them.
-Getting a phone call from the Den Mother who has Brandon on a camping trip, "Kimberly, he's been in the same clothes for two days. Does he have a change of clothes?" Me: Ummm, he has an entire duffel bag of every camping essential needed that I spent 4 hours packing!"
-The smile on Brandon's face coming home from his camping trip all because he earned his pocket knife badge. He was filthy, but happy!
-Trying to make Brandon understand that a shower means turning on the water in the shower. Seriously?
These are just a few of the things we have been doing, together. My days go by lightening fast and by the time evening rolls around I am pretty exhausted. Okay, that's a lie. I'm FLAT exhausted! The kids are still adjusting and if I told you it was peachy keen I would be lying. There has been an enormous amount of feelings, emotions that the kids have shown. All to be dealt with in a different manner. This obviously makes it pretty difficult to work. I took the entire month of April off. While that kinda stinks and I miss my office, how exciting that because of my job I was able to take that month off and put my priorities in order- my kids. I couldn't do that in Corporate America.
I'm back in the office. I've started my favorite program again. You can read all about it HERE. This is about the extent of what I will be doing for the next couple of months. Of course I will be posting here, but if you want to stamp with me, click that link and see how you can.
I do have a few pieces of inspiration for you. First, my photo classes are still in progress. Here are my latest of the Gem's.
One of the greatest joys of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrators is making so many new friends. It gets even better when those friends are from overseas. I have a new pen pal and I am so excited to share this with you. Beatrice and I have Stampin' Up! to thank for our long distance friendship. Ironically, we are in the same boat but she is from France. My dream place. We both have military spouses on vacation and she is also a demonstrator. I received this beautiful card a few weeks ago and my cheeks hurt from smiling. Actually I was ahh struck. I don't think I've ever received mail from overseas.
Check this out-
I even had to save the packaging. I love these postage stamps from France!!
Here is something I have created using the Open Sea stamp set. I love this set.
There you have it. This is what I've been up to! A little busy from my normal stuff. Hopefully you have received your Summer Mini Catalog and you are enjoying the beautiful eye candy in it. If there is something you need or maybe need a creative jolt, don't hesitate to ask. You can find all the fun products from the Summer Mini in my Online Store.
Have a FABULOUS weekend.

Glad that you were able to be there for your little ones, I am sure they are much better because of it. It will take some time, but you will find your footing and start to get back to normal soon. I do love your posts, but totally understand not seeing them as frequently as before. That makes them all the more special now! Take care.
I love to read your posts and I want to say a big Thank YOU to your husband and yourself for your sacrifice to our great country. May God bless and keep ALL of you safe.
Sending you hugs! I had a laugh about Brandon and the camping trip and shower. I went through that stage with my son and we even had to explain that the water had to touch you and soap needs to touch the body. LOL! Glad to hear that you are all surviving.
Thanks Kimberly. Since you kept the stamps, do you know that if you scratch the chocolate one, it's supposed to smell like chocolate?Hope it still does!
Love to read you….have a great day
So glad you are back!!!!!
Thanks for sharing those very special moments.
Hi Kim, so glad you are back. I was starting to get worried about you. I love coming to your site as you always put a smile on my face. Take care.
Good to hear from you again. I really enjoy your site. Please know that my heart is with you and your little ones as you all wait to be re-united with your hubby again.
I so remember those 'shower' days. Son, first turn on the water, get wet, wash your body…WITH soap, wash your hair…WITH shampoo…rinse off COMPLETELY, turn off water, dry your body WITH a towel from head to toe!!! ahhhhhhhhhh…used to drive me CRAZY!!!
