Warp Speed!

Since moving to Virginia I feel like life is at warp speed.  Is it just me?  Is summer really going by this fast?  I know our normal routine is out of whack but it seems like I get up, hang a few pictures and then it's dinner time.  CRAZY!  I won't even tell you what time it is now! YIKES!

I know I'm a day late on posting the video.  I had a full weekend and enjoyed my family all day on Sunday in my pajamas. Love days like that.  The start of my weekend was shared with Janet Wakeland at her team meeting.  It was such a great meeting and her team is filled with amazing talent and gracious women. I appreciate Jan for letting me come to visit and I learned so much.

I have two videos tonight.  I cannot find where you can upload one long video.  ??? If one of you know where that information is on You Tube, let me know.

The first video is the last of the questions. I cut my head off.  That should make you laugh.  So glad I can make cards better than videos!  The second video is of my office. This could potentially BORE you.  I will share the other half of my room later this week.  It's coming along but filled with Retired stuff EVERY WHERE!

Thank you for putting up with the videos.  It's been so much fun and thank you for the feedback.

Now on to my card for tonight.  The new catalog is still so exciting to open because I love almost every stamp set.  Besides the Aviary Stamp Set, the Funky Four stamp set (120438)  is another one of my top favs.  Those little mushrooms are so cute.  Here is my card:

I used Whisper White Craft ink on the Crumb Cake cardstock.  Once that dried I added a little Dazzling Diamonds onto some of the mushroom.  The background of the Chocolate Chip cardstock I used the Wonderfully Worn (118533) background stamp set.  Great background.  The Designer Paper is from the Neutrals Patterns DSP Stack (117157). As for accessories, I used the Antique Brads (117273) and the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border (119275).  I also used the Scallop Edge Border (119882).  I seem to use this border punch on every project I do lately!

I hope your week has started off GREAT.  I know mine has.  :)

This week is going to be all about STAMPING.  I have lots and lots to stamp both work and play.  I can't wait to share!

  1. Hi Kimberly,
Beautiful craft space, I love it.  I thought I would let you know that SU have given me until the 31.08.2010 to achieve my sales so they have been more than generous with me and I will achieve it by then.  I want to be number one in Australia.  I want to thank you so very much for these videos Kimberly, they have been more than helpful and inspiring to me.
    Hugs
    Michelle

  2. Hi Kimberly,
Thank-you for taking the time to do these videos.  Your tips/suggestions are very helpful and can easily transfer into anyone's business!
    You're the best!!!!

  3. I am totally drooling over your stamping office area. You are so organized! I wish I could do that with my room but I would have to add on an addition! Thanks for showing us everything. I got lots of great storage ideas from it.

  4. Hi Kimberly! Thanks again for your wonderful, entertaining videos! I just LOVE your stamping room. What a great place to work! One question though, when you were filming your room, I didn't notice where you keep all of your wooden stamps. I saw the clear stamps, the background stamps, and the little basket of stamps but I was wondering where you keep all of your wooden stamp sets. Just curious how you organize those…. Thanks again for all of the tips and great storage ideas. My favorite part is definitely your paper closet! LOVE IT!

  5. Thanks so much for showing us all this!  I can't wait to see your teaching area.  I am fortunate to have a large space for my stampin' biz, but I am still struggling with how best to organize it.  It's just a big open room.  Which I guess is a good thing??  Anyhow, thanks again.  I really appreciate these videos.

  6. Love your videos! They're so fun to watch while working in my stamp room. You've officially picked up a new follower. I found you on Stampin Connection under a discussion about making your hobby into a business. I too work very late at night after the hubby and kids are in bed and even during the day in my pajamas! Keep up the great work! You are very inspiring!

  7. Love the videos, especially the tour of your room.  One thing I was wondering about … I saw the background stamps, and the clear stamps, but where do you keep the wood mounted sets?

  8. Love love love your office area. Thanks for showing us your work space.  I struggle to organize my area. I have to share the area with the rest of the family. We turned our dinning room into an office a few years ago and when I started with Stampin Up, I have taken over half of the room. I just need some organization done in here.

  9. I love all your videos. I took your suggestion and went to Panera's today with my laptop (with decor elements on the top)and had a few cards on my table while I ate my lunch. I didn't get anyone coming over to me, but a few people were looking from a far. So as I attempt to get NEW customers, I will try this again. I am not the most computer savvy person, but I was able to figure out how to get the internet at Panara's so I could go online.  Next time I will stamp a little or put some cards together. I am in the process of making up my little packets with a hand stamped card, mini, and the flyer  for this month. Going to pass out all the Summer mini's that I have and see if I can get any new customers.
    Thanks for all your inspiration,
    Cindee

  10. Kimberly,
Thank you so much for the ideas, inspiration and humor! I am a demo in Buckeye, AZ and my customer base is very low. Thanks to your inspiration I have set a goal to visit our local book store once a month, work on my laptop, complete a few cards and carry cello bags with the new Holiday Mini, my class info, etc. I am committing to doing this for 6 consecutive months. I am tired of sitting on the side lines of my business…it's time to get in the game! THANKS AGAIN! Blessings

  11. Kimberly,
Thanks for sharing your office with us.  Love it!!!  I keep telling myself that I need to get myself organized, but having a hard time getting started.  Love your ideas.  I had to laugh tho when you showed the shelf your hubby put together.  My husband did the same thing years ago.  Of course, it was the shelf that is permantly installed.  LOL!
