Tricked out Halloween

It's time to get tricky with a Halloween sneak peek.  Seems silly to be creating Halloween cards this early but after opening my box of love from Stampin' Up! last week and not feeling I had a creative bone in my body I knew that a Halloween project would bring it ALL back.  Halloween has always been one of my favorite holiday's to get crafty with.  In fact, you can do a search on my blog for many crafty Halloween 3-D items.

Check out this card…

WHOA!  I started this card with a new Stampin' Around Jumbo wheel called Etruscan Elegance that's in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The best part of this wheel is that it can be used on ANY type of project not just Halloween. I started by embossing this wheel onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  From there I used the new Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP.  SUPER CUTE.  I love this DSP because it has all the Halloween colors but it doesn't have Halloween images so you could use it for other projects. I used the stamp set called Toxic Treats and embossed this onto Basic Grey cardstock using a Craft Basic Black ink and clear embossing powder.  I used the Labels Collection Framelits to die cut the image. I added another piece of DSP to create a banner and a piece of our new Natural Cotton Ribbon.  Oh BOY!  You are going to LOVE this new Holiday Mini Catalog. Oh and just so you know, it's really not *mini* but 8 1/2 x 11 in size and 40 pages.  YIKES.

  3. LOVE this card.  Because I'm chintzy with DSP – at least with first cuts, I turned the card to portrait and cut 4" wide pieces of the DSP.  Thanks so much for all your inspiration.
