The Big Bad Stack!

It's no secret that I love to stamp but here is something you may not have known about me… I'm not a fan of stamping the same card over and over again.  That means when I am preparing swaps I get delirious stamping the same card after about the third one.  I'm not sure what you would call the present state of mind I'm in right now since I am working on my Founders Circles Swaps of 135.  I've been working on them the past two days and I know that my arms now stretch to the floor.  Yes, my kids will officially think I have super powers.  Maybe I will be Elastic Mom? Seriously- A background stamp feels like it weighs 20lbs right now.  I had a fight with my Cherry Cobbler Ink pad and it appears I did NOT win.  Dimensional pieces are everywhere in my stamp room.  The worst is the Sticky Strip leftovers.  You know how much static those pieces have?  Well, they are all over my body.  Not exactly sure how that happened but I know Russ will be going to work with something else on him instead of glitter.  C'mon ladies/gents… how many of your significant others have gone to work with glitter on their heads?  Russ hates to admit it but it happens.

Here is what I started with… the TEASER!

I'll show you the final next week.  🙂

I have to break up the swap frenzy with another card.  You know I love birdies! This card just makes me happy because the birds are chubby and cute!

Most of these products came from the Holiday Mini. Supplies will be listed below.  Not too much stamping on this card. I had to keep the stamping simple since my arm cannot handle much more.

Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  Hard to believe that Christmas is not far away.

On a side note- Thank you so much for the sweet comments on the kids first day of school.  I have really gotten a few laughs from the mention of the convention bag and how many other little girls are using their mom's bag too.  Alexis loves the bag and thinks she is SO cool because it's Stampin' Up!  Poor Brandon!  His bag does swallow him.  The kids are adjusting fantastic at school.  They both have new friends and I even heard that one of them has a "crush" on someone.  WHAT?????  NO, NO, NO!  It is funny how "HE" smiles when I bring up her name. <sigh>

  1. So glad the kids are enjoying their new school!  They grow up really fast mommy…get ready!
Can't wait to see your swap!  I just completed about 1/4 of what you had to do for regionals this Saturday and I was ready to be done!  Can't imagine the 135! But, I hope to have to experience that one day myself!

  2. Wish I was close by, I would love to come help with your 135 swaps!!!  Good luck, can't wait to see the finished product!

  3. Oh you have a lot of work ahead of you.  I love the teaser though.  Those stacks look so great.  Love the color scheme!

  4. Kimberly, I had to crack up laughing (out loud) when I read you're little note about the SU convention bag being used as a book bag for school. I have a daughter (freshman this year…..uhhhh!) but she loves orange. I didn't go to convention this year, but I swapped a bag for merchandise with someone who did go. When I got 'MY' bag in the mail, my daughter flipped…and wanted it. Nope….It's mom's! LOL She would be so jealous if she read your post. Good thing I bought her a Vera Bradley backpack before my SU bag came. Thanks for sharing. Blessings-Tana   http://www.tanaconley.blogspot.com

  5. Oh my gosh..I'm totally with you on the mass stamping. By the time I get into about 10, I'm ready for a change. I can't imagine doing 135…maybe next year!!
Your colours look so yummy together, I can't wait to see the finish product.
Glad to hear that everyone is having a great first week. We just went back also…even I had to go back to work (work in a school)…it's been a good week but tiring! I'm looking forward to stamping in my jammies this weekend!!

  6. Kimberly – my 10 year old loved my convention bag too, as did my downline's daughter – they both are using them for school bags…guess the bags were more for the 'younger' market this year!! That's fine…I have enough bags already…love your swap colour combo…anxious to see the final product! Lynda from Canada

  7. Your card is stunning! I am not a fan of mass producing either. I have a hard time making 2 cards alike. I can't wait to see what you do with all those goodies.

  8.
First of all Kimberly, glad to hear  your family is adjusting to your new surroundings, a new school, and new friends…kids are great that way.
Everything you make is always fabulous and seeing all the wonderful collours and pre-cut pieces tells me this will be spectacular.
If I lived closer (actually my offer stands even with the geographical distance) I would offer to make all 135 132 of your swaps for you just becasue I love routine and don't mind reptitition.  Anyways can't wait to see the finished product and it will all be worth it when your friends receive the beautiful card at Founders Circle.  Have a great weekend.
