It was a busy day today. The kids woke up bright and early and they were skipping out the door ready for school. Brandon woke up at 6am. He was so excited. Alexis was only concerned about the outfit for the day. Me, I couldn't believe how early it was! After a few cups of coffee and lunches made we were out the door for the big day. They did GREAT. Me, NOT so much! I came home and felt like my two best buddies left me. Of course I had the big happy mama smile on as they walked into their classrooms and kisses goodbye. It felt like Kindergarten all over again. It wasn't long into my day when I was shopping (always makes you feel better) that I realized they are in a good place and I was too. I came home and stamped, cut paper and got busy on that HUGE pile of swaps that needed to be done. I made GREAT progress today. I was so proud of myself. Here is my favorite card of the day!
I used the stamp set French Foliage (121166) for the background on the Cajun Craze cardstock as well as the focal point of the card. The sentiment came from Fabulous Phrases (120501). That sentiment set is just amazing. It's the best font. I love it. Truly, MUST HAVE! I used the Vanilla Seam Binding (120999) from the Holiday Mini catalog. Fun to use and really flexible!
Lastly, I have to show you my two cuties on their first day. I promise not to bore you too much more with my little family… but it's kinda the news lately!
I guess I better go to bed. The kids will be up VERY soon and mama will not look as excited as it was today! More tomorrow!

You can share pictures and stories of those two anytime. With mine grown and out of the house, I enjoy your stories about them. The cards are an added plus!!! Have a good day. I'm off to school to take care of more kiddies!
Super cute card, love it! The kids look so grown up – and I laughed when I saw Alexis' backpack because Kayla took mine too, LOL!!! Hang in there, you will be back in the school swing of things in no time! I am enjoying the time during the day that is all mine again!! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex
Hi Kimberly, I LOVE your card….. well really, I LOVE them all. Thanks so much for sharing your awesome talent. Your kids are gorgeous – your best creation!
Love your card, and you can "feature" your kiddos on your blog every day, as far as I'm concerned! They're adorable, and I love that your daughter has "re-purposed" your Convention bag!!

My daughter is using the convention bag as her book bag too! she LOVES it! see you soon!
I have seen the "wrinkly" ribbon on a few cards lately. I tried to copy it but the ribbon just seems to come unstuck from the cardstock. Can you give me a suggestion on how to accomplish this cute look?
I really LOVE this card!
Kimberly, this card is stunning! Love the way you've used this set and the gorgeous ribbon ruffles.
Have to admire those cute kids too, love the SU convention bookbag :->

I LOVE this card. I am so gonna CASE it for this month's class (if you don't mind). You always do such fabulous projects.
Your kids are adorable (mine are grown and would never carry a SU bag on purpose. We took our final first day of school photo this year (yes he's a SENIOR-yikes!!) and its the same look every year (the one that says "Are you done yet" all over his face-Heehee).
I just can't get over how much they grew in just a short time. They are such sweethearts….We sure do miss your bubbly personality around here. Just too many people moved within such a short amount of time….Hope you guys are liking VA.
