Time to brew up something a little toxic with the Sweet Hauntings stamp set. It’s another challenge week and today’s a color challenge.
Interestingly enough…. I haven’t used these colors in a long time. I’ve opted to grab Blackberry Bliss or Tangelo Twist instead of the others above. Old Olive use to be my all time favorite color when I first became a demonstrator and it was part of the Earth Elements collection. Now it sits with the others in the Brights Collection and I’ve never been much of a “bright” girl…. no pun intended.
It was good to pull these colors off the shelf and give them the love they needed and they are perfect for Halloween color combinations.
Tips & Tricks
You will notice the black doily in the background is the inner piece from our Spider Web Doilies. They are the cutest things EVER. I simply cut around the doily carefully to expose only that piece.
I also used an image (the diamond background) from the Witches’ Night stamp set. That was stamped in Old Olive ink then the layering began.
A simple quick stitch across the bottles keeps them all in place.
I thought I would go ahead and put a quick stitch at the bottom of the card too. Can you see the purple coming through? Total mistake but I kinda like it. I believe my sewing machine needs a little attention.
Lastly I applied a few sequins from the Brights collection to give the card a bit more texture.
I hope you will play along this week in our TGIF Color Challenge. See what the other girls did with their creativity by clicking HERE.
Have an AWESOME weekend. Russ and I are having a garage sale. I would rather be poked with 100 needles than sit and wheel and deal with people over my junk. Russ on the other hand… this is where he shines. He can wheel and deal you right out the door. Wish us luck.
