Texture Plate Trick!

It’s that time!  I have another Video for you and this time it’s a trick using the Texture Plates.  Stampin’ Up! has a beautiful assortment of Texture Plates and I love to use them on my projects.  I am often asked how do I get such a defined texture from the Texture Plates.  I figured it would be so much easier to show you on a video.  I hope you enjoy this little trick!

Here is the card I am demonstrating in the video.  I used our new product, Sweet Treat Cups from the Holiday Mini Catalog!  Are these not just the cutest things ever?  I am in love with the way these look and how fun to give a treat like this in a card.  They even come with special envelopes so you can mail them.  WOW!  The best part is these little Sweet Treats are only $2.95 for 12 of them.  WOW-again!  You can order these new additions by simply clicking on my Order Online button.   Easy as pie!

  1. To think I had the silicone going wonky and thought I was going to break something.
    This is fabulous.
By the way, love you blouse.

  2. Can you please come and live next to my house…please, pretty please??!!!

Seriously…I am so psyched you shared this useful tip with everyone…I am going to go play with my textured plates right now!!!

  3. This is great – I just want to caution on forcing things through the BS. It has a spring inside that can be broken by forcing layers through that are too thick. I have a customer who did this. Not with a current SU BS. Just sharing. Every BS is a little different too.

  4. wow! I love your ideas 🙂 as a matter of fact I rarely case a card exactly. I usually have my own idea to punch it up a notch! But never with your cards! Now I have another to add to my file of cards for upcoming classes!

  5. OMG THANK YOU for this tip. I have not shown these in my workshops because the impressions just were not that good. I have now tried it your way and WOW, I will be showing this in my workshop on FRIDAY!!! Thanks much, Candice 😉

  6. This is an awesome tutorial Kim – you always rock and make me laugh too! I always wondered if I was doing something not quite right when not getting a good impression. Thanks for sharing this tip – it really works!

  7. this is a wonderful trick. Thank you, Kimberly! I’m about to try it right now, I even went to get some mint patties, never thought to use them, they fit perfectly, who knew :0

Yes, I too would like to know where you shop for clothes… always TOO CUTE!

  8. Thanks! I was worried that I was doing something wrong because the rubber kept falling off! 🙂 lol

  9. Thank you, thank you for this wowza tip – I had been trying so many ways and never got that good an impression, but this is great… with a little muscle! Hugs always! G
