Hello Johnny!

I guess I should explain a little bit.  I just love Johnny Depp and I love him as a Pirate!  Something about that nasty hair that rocks my world!

At convention, my girlfriend Mary Jo was sitting next to me and she pulls out her iPhone and says to me…."Ya know, when I’m having a bad day, I just pull out my Johnny!"  There was a beautiful picture of Johnny on her iphone!  I laughed so hard because as our friendship has grown you find out the crazy things about each other.  Of course I stole her picture and put it on my own phone so I can enjoy the picture too.  Well my friend, the sweetest thing she is sent my daughter something the other day that made Alexis STUTTER!  Alexis, my 6 yo,  thinks she is a demonstrator (and don’t tell her any differently!) and loves the Pony Party stamp set.

Mary Jo

Of course I told Alexis to put it on my desk.  I wanted to take a picture of it.  Well, that didn’t happen.  She took it to her room and she says I can have NO part of it.  WHAT???  If you think the front of this is cool, then you need to check out the real deal!  The inside will blow you away and you will understand why my girl STUTTERED!  Go see for yourself…. Beauty Lies Within.

The story goes on…  Alexis told me (dictated more like it) that I must make something special for Mary Jo.  Since I am still laughing at our shared love for our hunk of burning love Johnny, I decided to make a card that her and I would relate too.

I can’t thank her enough for thinking about my sweet girl.  The fact that Alexis has an appreciation for stamped artwork blows me away.  This little gift means so much to her and it’s a treasure…just like my friendship with my sweet friend Mary Jo.  Her FRIENDSHIP is something I will always treasure!  Once again, this business is about friendships to me.  I’ve made many and I adore each of them.

So let me tell you about this card and what it takes to make your own "I love Johnny Depp" card! <sigh> LOL!

  1. OMG – I thought I was the only crazy grown up in love with Johnny as a pirate!!!! I drooled all over my keyboard reading today’s post. My boys tease me endlessly about my infatuation with the man!!

By the way, love the videos. Keep them coming!!

  2. Wow, I just returned home from spending some time on Johnny’s private island. He’s going to be so touched when I show him your fabulous creation Kimberly. Hold on……
Ok, seriously, you are awesome! That is THE BEST pirate card in the whole world!!!!
    I love ya:)

I had no idea I was sharing Jack Sparrow with so many others. He got you with his nasty hair. Got me with those eyes. I’m curious now!

  3. It’s the eyes for me too…and that adorable swatch of hair right under his lower lip. Speaking of his lips……………

  4. Oh my dear daughter..this is what I have passed on to you. The love for one sexy man. Of course you get that honestly. lol

  5. Kimberly, you must stop using Extreme Elements! It is becoming harder and harder to resist adding that set to my collection. I wonder how much longer it will take for Extreme Elements to beat out Medallion for the coveted “most purchased stamp set”?!

  6. lol…. What a great story and card, You did such a wonderful job and Mary Jo is just SO talented… Well you are both very talented. I check both blogs all the time and love what you create.

  7. Isn’t it amazing that your six-year-old already understands how precious a Mary Jo Original is? ;D She’s the luckiest little girl in the whole wide world!

I love the personalized card you made for Mary Jo – beautiful and fun! I bet she had a good laugh when she opened the envelope 🙂 Can’t find store-bought cards that are that perfect for someone…
