Christmas Tags Wrapped In Warmth

Here I am, last minute nelly trying to wrap up the last of my Christmas to do list.

Christmas tags are something I always create and they are ALWAYS last minute.

Its possible I’m ahead of the game right now.  I’ve been known to make the tags on Christmas Eve.

Today I’m sharing the tags I’ve created this year.

Wrapped in Warmth

I started these Christmas tags using 4 main products:

  • Wrapped in Warmth stamp set
  • Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper
  • Bakers Twine Trio
  • Lots of Labels Framelits

Of course with very little time to create I needed to keep the Christmas tags very simple.

The tag base was created using the largest die cut from the Lots of Labels framelits and I simply die cut only one end of your cardstock.

Adding Variety To Each Christmas Tag

To add variety to the greetings I used a few different framelits dies such as the Layering Squares Framelits and the Stitched Shapes Framelits (these will be back in stock mid January).

The Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper was perfect to add to the bottom of each tag for variety.

Another perfect product for the Christmas tags was the Bakers Twine Trio Pack. The colors coordinated beautifully and the gold twine gave the tag that extra pop of color.

Creating Backgrounds with VersaMark

Rather than using a lot of color on my Christmas tag backgrounds, I opted to use VersaMark ink.  VersaMark provides a tone on tone color and creates a soft subtle look on any cardstock color.

In addition, you may note that the stamp images and designer series paper coordinate beautifully together.  When products coordinate, this takes a lot of the guess work from you and crafting easier.

Make sure to see this idea using the Wrapped in Warmth stamp set and coordinating designer series paper HERE.

I also have a card created using this stamp set on a popular post I created  HERE.

Christmas Ready!

While I’m still not 100% ready for Christmas my wrapped gifts can now have a pretty tag hanging from it instead of the folded over wrapping paper with the recipients name.

Lastly, are you ready? What are the last minute things you are trying to finish up this week?

This week prior to Christmas can bring on panic for many with so many things not finished on the to do list.  I can totally relate to that feeling, but I’m not giving in.  I’ve found it’s not worth it and I lose site of what’s important during this beautiful season.

I encourage you to not give in.  Enjoy this season and all of the beautiful things that come with it.  Eat lots of cookies and simply ENJOY!!

I hope you can make time to find the joy in creating as well.  Let’s face it… as crafters that is where we find JOY.  Why not enJOY it?
