Stampin’ Up! Cruise Recap!

Stampin’ Up! Cruise Recap!

Gosh, I could write a novel on this trip.  It was so so good, and so relaxing. More relaxing than normal because we were so low key and didn’t do any shore excursions.  It was right up my alley.  Let me share a few of my favorite pics from the trip.  Just click the photo and you can see it larger.

Like I said before our trip was a low key.  We did get off at two ports, Labadee and Jamaica.  With all the walking that Russ did in Jamaica he was WORE out.   We opted not to get off the boat in Cozumel.  It was a day to sit by the pool for us and sleep in too.  I never get to sleep in at home so I took advantage of it everyday.  The only bad part was missing a great breakfast every morning.

Every day we would jump down to the Hospitality Room that Stampin’ Up! had set up.  The room was gorgeous and filled with Samples from Stampin’ Up! and swaps from other trip achievers.  You could sit in there for hours just looking.  The other fun part of this room was stocking up on candy for the day and ring toss to earn prizes.  Russ and I called this the “therapy room!”  It was stampin’ therapy for me and he did the ring toss with his right hand so it was therapy for his arm.  <grin>  He was able to earn me all kinds of great prizes.  The only problem he had with ring toss was letting go of the ring.  Giggle.  He would go to throw it and his fingers wouldn’t let it go.  We had a great laugh over this.

The food on the ship was divine as always.  Russ probably only gained 2 pounds while I gained 10!  He of course needs the weight.. not me.  Every night we had cookies and coffee/milk sent to our room about 11pm.  I kinda miss that right now.

I have to say that my most favorite times on this fabulous ship was seeing our friends and making new ones.  Being on the ship with our demonstrators from around the world was such a treat.  I knew their names from Facebook Groups or following blogs and never thought in a million years we would see each other face to face.  It was the best treat ever.

Russ loved meeting demonstrators that had prayed for his recovery.  It was extremely emotional for him to hear that friends from all around the world had been praying.  Can you imagine? What a tremendous gift this is.  For him to meet them face to face and say thank you was a true blessing.

Russ was able to show his “TRUE” colors on the ship too.  The prince was in rare form at our last dinner.  He began throwing rolls at friends, in the main dining room!  I wanted to crawl under the table.  Here we are all dressed up and my husband is throwing rolls.  ??? Seriously sweetheart? I have to admit it was one of those times you were belly laughing.  I love belly laughing.  It’s so so good for the soul.

Overall we came home very rested from this trip.  Of course once we got home that was a different story.  I really feel you need a vacation from the vacation. I am SWAMPED!!  Deadlines galore and of course May has to be the busiest month ever for my kids.  I’ll be back on track soon.  I told Russ to just live out of his suitcase for a bit.  There was no time to unpack that thing.  Surely he has clean under ware in his drawer.  Remember my rule… each person in this house has at least 30 pair.

I’ll be posting all the Stampin’ Up! samples in my next post.  Stay tuned.

Wonderful recap of your cruise…and what a great chair for your Prince!!!!!!! Looks like he could go anywhere in it….super! Glad that you got off of the ship a few times…and I so agree about snacks and something to drink in your room every evening…a girl and her fella could easily get spoiled – sleeping in as well! Great therapy for both of you! Looking forward to more pictures! And throwing rolls…how fabulous!!!!!
