Spring is Here!

From the looks of the weather around the U.S. not everyone is experiencing Spring like weather. Here in Northern Virginia the weather has been pretty Spring like and the Cherry Blossom Tree's are starting to bloom.  To look back one year ago I came here to house hunt with the kids over Spring Break.  It doesn't feel possible that it's already been a year.  Time is ticking fast.

Today I wanted to share a nice Spring card that showcases the great Watercolor Crayons again.  I love to watercolor because it's so relaxing. There are times though that I don't have a lot of time to sit and watercolor.  Today's technique is perfect for this.  Let me show you.

This technique is when you take the Watercolor Crayon directly to the rubber stamp and then spritz some water (or your Stampin' Mist in my case) over the image and then you stamp it.  This creates a watercolor effect and really looks beautiful.  The technique is easy and works SUPER great with solid images like the one above from the stamp set Just Believe. I've created a video for you so you can re-create this technique.  Whoo Hoo!

  1. love it…..your so cute!  I'd be curious to know how many dimensionals you go through in a year too. ha ha…..

  2. Kimberly I love this water color look.  I have never tried the water color crayons directly on the stamps before.  Gotta give it a try.  So glad for your video clip!  Thanks

This card is so beautiful! I  live in Winnipeg, MB. Canada and we are slowly getting spring, but there are no cherry blossom trees blooming here. I have been feel uninspired to use all my spring stamp sets…HOWEVER this is so beautiful that is has given a "spring" to my stamping! Thanks Kimbely, you are amazing!

  4. LUV your tutorial & so happy you're doing more; I know they're probably a pain, but THANKS!!

Sadly we are having more rain here in the Bay Area of CA for the next few days….but we do have flowers and trees in bloom in spite of it all!!!    Love your videos…and I have some crayons that I bought on sale last year….now to get that stamp set that I've been lusting over for soooo long!!   Thank you – you so inspire me (and many other demos as well)….and make me feel that I too can make a truly lovely card.  Going to try this technique very soon!
