Isn't it a "Happy Day" when you can get creative? I find now that it's a blessing when I can get in my stamp room for a little alone time with my toys. Once I clear the dust from everything I dig in.
This new set, Starburst Sayings is a fantastic set. I love the coordinating framelits which make this stamp set even more versatile. Because I had no time to stamp during the holidays I have many things on my desk from the Holiday Mini that need to be used. I had great intentions to use the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Kit to make easy Christmas Cards. Nothing was going to come easy for me during the holiday's so I have the entire package sitting there unused.
I decide to find a way to use it as well as incorporate new products as well. I hope this will inspire you to use your unused stash and get creative.
I did break out the sewing machine for this card but it's easy stitching. Even better was the little banner punch. OH SO DANG CA-UTE!!
You can see all the supplies for this card below. Make sure to check out my Online Store to purchase these products.
Prince Update:
Therapy went great today. His occupational therapist worked hard on the right arm today. He started some new exercise that will help gain more strength in his arm. He started today with arm weight lifting. He was lifting 1 pound. He said to me, "look honey, 1 pound…" in his most sarcastic voice. It was hard to hold back the giggles because 1 pound is nothing on a normal day. (It's huge for me. I'm a weakling!) 1 pound was a big accomplishment though and he almost skipped out of therapy to celebrate. To see this arm moving the weight was HUGE. To go from doing nothing at all to a little movement is incredible. He is so inspiring to me.
At night he has an e-Stem machine that he puts on his arm to stimulate the nerves. I call it the electrocution machine because that's what it looks like when you hook it up and turn it on. You see his arm do all kind of crazy things. First time I watched it I think my face told the story. It was a bit scary looking. Because the arm is in the "hanging" position so much he has a separation of muscles at the shoulder. This is helping that situation as well as stimulating the nerves to "wake" it up in a sense. When we put it on his wrist the entire hand opens up when stimulated. It's pretty incredible.
The kids helped him with therapy tonight. Brandon was doing the leg exercise with him. It's pretty neat to sit back and hear the motivation they give to Russ during his therapy.
I'm trying to get caught up on my email. If you have emailed me recently please don't fret. I'm making progress but it's slow. I will get back to you. I'm grateful for your patience with me. I'm typically not a slow poke but now I'm the worlds WORST.
Have a fantastic Happy Day!
