Nuts about You | Stampin’ Up!
I’m not usually a “cutesy” stamper but I couldn’t help falling in love when I layer my eyes on the Nuts about You stamp set in the new catalog.
Hopefully you didn’t miss seeing this stamp set because you can get it for FREE. Yes, it’s one of our hostess exclusive stamps. Oh boy Nelly is it cute.
The sweet images in this set include the tree, squirrels and little birdies that are cute as ever.
The process for this card did not start out pretty. I sat there with that lost look of what to do. I wanted to create a “focal” area for the tree and the squirrels so I used our NEW Party Pennants Bigz L die cut to create the first layer. The tree and squirrels all fit perfectly.
I had a light bulb moment when I remembered the Wood Grain Textured embossing folder. I haven’t used it in forever.
My grass was cut using my Fringe Scissors and Pear Pizzaz Cardstock. Love how the little squirrels are nestled into the grass. It was a mistake at first and if you looked REALLY close you would see one of the squirrels does not have his entire body stamped. Whoops.
The greeting used Bermuda Bay ink and the Petite Curly Label punch. You will find many uses for this punch and the new catalog. Many tiny greetings are new.
It’s hard to believe there is no sewing on this card but it’s the truth. I used my Glue Gun with the ribbon pieces to keep them in place. Works like a charm.
The last thing I added and it’s always a bedazzling was the sequins. Do you have yours? These are SO trendy and I love how they bring the “bling” factor to your cards. They are perfect.
You may notice a little spritz of color on the banner portion of this card as well. It’s my handy dandy Color Spritzer tool that is retired but stays on my desk because I will never ever ever ever part with it. I will continue to plead with Stampin’ Up! to bring it back.
Below you will see all the great products used for today’s card.
