It's time for another great My Digital Studio Blog Hop. This week we are showing digital work that we are currently working on.
I have a few albums I'm putting finishing touches on and one of them happens to be my Christmas Daily album.
The album is just about complete with the exception of a few layouts and journaling.
If I can give one BIG piece of advice… Journal as you create!
Journaling as you are completing the layout keeps the moment fresh in your brain and much easier to tackle than years from now.
TIP: When I created more traditional scrapbook pages in the past I always kept a small note tucked with pictures inside an envelope with dates, journaling prompts or any memorabilia that was to be included with that page.
Since I've become more of a digital scrapbooker I keep a running journal on my computer Notes Application that I can access from my phone and iPad. This makes journaling very easy and very accessible. To keep the memories organized I make sure I keep the date, place and small journaling prompts to jog my memory.
While the layout below will sit nicely in my Christmas Daily album it doesn't have the typical Christmas embellishments or paper.
The story is all about a Sunshine Box and an amazing demonstrator named Sue Martin.
You may remember reading a few stories about her HERE.
I wanted this layout to go with the theme of what Sue has created for my family~ the Sunshine Box. This was a perfect layout to use the NEW Digital Kit from Stampin' Up!- Hello There.
You can read all the supplies I used on this layout HERE.

You never cease to amaze me with how you use all of the great MDS elements. This is a wonderful documentation of a special gift, something to always be remembered. And brother and sister together – beautiful!

Thank you Wendie. Once you really dig into all your downloads it’s amazing what you find. The key is that global search tool and skimming over digital kits to find what you are looking for. Sometimes I see elements on other peoples layouts that just stand out and find out WOW, I have that too. 🙂
You make me smile. 🙂 I will, I will. XOXO
Great post, Kimberly! I need to start joning in on the MDS challenges.
I wanted to let you know that you are featured today on my blog list of My Favorite Blogs.
Thank you for the inspiration and have a great day!

WOW, love that page. I love how you did the label. Still learning how to do things and I know the best way is to play around. 🙂
Megin, Thank you so much. Please do join the Challenges. It’s a great group of people learning together. I love it. The samples that people are posting are fantastic. We’d love for you to join. 🙂
I love how you did this page! You are so blessed in the "creativity department".:) The things you come up with are awesome!
Can't believe how much older the kids look in the pic! You do realize, Kimberly, that you'll have teenagers before you know it, right? 🙂 It happens so fast!
