Today I am overloading you with inspiration. I hope you don’t mind. I’m a very lucky girl who gets to design with talented demonstrators each month for a bundled tutorial.

We started the blog hops to give our viewers and customers an idea of our designing.

This month’s tutorial is over the top filled with not only cards but beautiful 3-D box ideas.

This tutorial might be my favorite yet!

This month I used the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle for my tutorial project. I love how majestic dragonflies look, and this set gives you so many opportunities to create a beautiful dragonfly any way you wish.

Below you will see another project I created using this set. Dragonfly Dreams is a very fun set to create with.

Dragonfly Dreams

One of my favorite die cuts from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies is the stack of dragonflies together. I love the detail and how the change in direction.

Look how beautiful they display when using Glimmer Paper! I used the NEW 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper Assortment Stack (FREE Sale-a-Bration item) for my dragonflies. This stack includes three colors of Glimmer Paper: Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, and Sweet Sugarplum.

Tips & Tricks

The base of the card is Mint Macaron 4-1/4″ x 11, scored at 5-1/2″.
The first layer is Watercolor Paper, with a watercolor wash using Pool Party ink.
I watercolored the Delicate White Doily using Pool Party ink. Use an Aqua Painter to watercolor over the doily, then heat-set with a heat tool.
I used a staple to keep the ribbon, doily, and dragonflies in place and stapled onto a Stitched Shapes Square die cut.

I wrapped a small strip of Mint Macaron cardstock (1/2″ x 4-1/2″) across the card with my greeting.

My project for this month’s tutorial was so much fun to create. I created a beautiful box and four cards to go inside. I was a little giddy over the project.
