Making Spirits Bright
It was TIME to get this stamp set out and ink it up! Â I’m Making Spirits Bright with this card… and hopefully inspiring you to pull your set out as well. Â
Seriously, this set has been sitting on my shelf since the Holiday Catalog came out and I’ve just looked at it. Â I love the fonts and I love the images. Â Now I’m so glad I pulled it out and created a card with it. Â
There are a couple of things to note with this stamp set.  You can see in the image above the image and greeting are separate.  I cut my greeting away from the actual image so I could have TWO stamps  instead of one.  I felt like I could use the greeting on many other cards.  What do you think? Do you ever do this?Â
Lastly was the background. Â I used my Decorative Masks again with Gesso on Blushing Bride cardstock. Â I loved how this turned out and it dried so quickly. Â
The coloring was quick and easy using my blender pen. Â Nothing terribly fancy but perfect for this card. Â The images were stamped using Black Craft ink and embossed in Clear Embossing Powder. Â It made the image stand out just a wee bit more. Â
I did add a touch of stitching to the card but again, nothing fancy, just a quick back and forth stitch to hold my ribbons and cardstock in place. Â Easy… Peasy!
You can see all the supplies below to create this card. Â
Well, my sweet Prince is on his first journey by himself. Â He flew to Iowa to see his parents.. by himself. Â I’ve been a nervous nelly but he has landed and did fantastic. Â This is a big milestone and a test run for some upcoming travel dates he has for work. Â I am so proud of him. Â
For me.. well that means a taste of single motherhood again and running the kids by myself. Â This could be interesting. Â Wish me luck. Â It’s not a bad thing, and I know I can do it… but let me be the first to tell you these little gems can wear this Mama OUT. Â
Have a BEAUTIFUL day.Â
XOXOXO

Hey Kimberly, just wanted to check in and hope that everything is ok with you and your sweet prince and family. Haven’t heard from you in quite a while so just wanted to check on you to let you know that you are being thought of and a little worried about. Hope to hear from you soon. 🙂
Hi kimberly, I have been wondering the same as Lisa – hoping you are just busy preparing for Christmas. God bless your beautiful family, and thanks for sharing your heart throughout the year, I love ‘popping in’. Sending hugs from Australia xx
Hi Kelly. I’m doing fine. Totally spending this season with my family as we missed so much of our normal traditions last year with Russ in the hospital. Hope to be back to normal here really soon. Actually working on a blog post TODAY. Whoo Hoo!! Thank you for caring. XOXOXOXO
