Little Gingerbread Men

Happy Labor Day!

I hope you are resting all day and putting forth NO Labor.  Today I will spend a little time reflecting on a GREAT Summer and the end to relaxing and gearing up for the chaos that is ahead.  Brandon begins Middle School tomorrow and he is SUPER excited.  Alexis is ready to rule the school now that Brandon is not in it.  Deep inside I think she will miss seeing him.  It's all a new adventure and we are excited to begin it.

I wanted to share another Christmas card with you today.  One of my favorites from the Holiday Mini has been the new scented embossing powders that Stampin Up! has.  They smell so yummy.

This card was super quick to put together with the help of the Scentsational Season Clear Mount Bundle.  This bundle comes with the Scentsational Season stamp set and the Holiday Collection Framelits.  WOW what a GREAT bundle.

I simply stamped the gingerbread men with Early Espresso ink and then covered them with VersaMark ink and sprinkled the Sugar & Spice Embossing Powder over them. While they are heating up you can smell the amazing scent and it's almost seems edible.  I threaded each of them using the Whisper White Bakers Twine and placed them onto the First Edition DSP.  Very simple and a fast card.

Next I need to get out my Halloween/Fall stamps and get to creating with them.  They are my favorite to create with.  Yippie.

You can find all the supplies below.  Check out my Online Store with lots of great goodies.

  1. I love this card!  And the best thing is it uses the little vintage trinkets brads which I have lots of – I have been using the safety pins and have all the brads left and now I have the perfect card to use them all up!  lots of my favorites on this one.  I'm so glad you shared it.

  2. Thanks for sharing, I LOVE this card!!!  I hardly ever CASE a card, but this might have to be an exception 😉  Just wanted to comment that I dropped my kids off at college, the same college, and my daughter was all mad because she picked the college first and then her brother got interested in it.  She so wanted him to stay away from her completely…and then I heard today…she went over to borrow quarters from him for laundry.  Lol.  I guess it's not so bad that he's there after all, huh?

  3. This is the cutest card ever.  Tell me were you happy with trying out the new Sugar & Spice embossing powder?  Have you tried out the other ones?

    xo, Thank you, Marian

  4. Isn’t funny how they say things and then look back and think, hmmm…. I am really going to miss them. Both the kids were so excited today yet so nervous. I remember those butterflies before school starting. LOL. 🙂
