Life in the Forest

Does Life in the Forest get any cuter than this?

It’s been awhile since I pulled out the blender pen and colored.  Watercoloring use to be one of my favorite pass times while sitting in front of the TV.  After creating this card I can feel the love of watercoloring coming back.  This is my kind of EASY watercoloring.  

Life in the Forest stamp set has the most adorable animal images and the FOX is super cute.  

My fox image fit perfect on one of the Starburst Framelits.  Once I finished watercoloring the cute animals it was time to embellish.  

I used lots of fun products on this card and even dipped into my “bowl of goodies” when creating this.  Wondering what I’m talking about? 

Do you ever create a card and you have a piece or and embellishment that you just KNEW you were going to use but it ended up not making the cut? Or maybe a die cut that you were going to use and didn’t? These pieces go into my bowl of goodies that stays on my desk.  This way I can dip into this bowl when I need to.  

The Tangerine Bakers Twine was from a past kit.  I save any kind of Bakers Twine and it sits in my bowl of goodies.  I was glad I could use it for this card.  

Once everything was colored I wanted to get a little grunge with some ink splatters.  I started this by using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and finished it off with my Air Tool that still sits on  my desk.

The ribbon layering started with Baked Brown Sugar cardstock banner, Lace ribbon, Coastal Cabana Stretch ribbon and a small scallop piece of Gold Foil.  I did put a little Gold Smooch too…. don’t tell. 

This was all layered on our Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper Sweet Sorbet.  The colors worked perfect for this card.

I don’t know what your fox says, but mine says… “WOO- HOO!”
