I’ve Got a Case of the Crazies!

It's been a long time since I've missed a day of posting here.  Over the last 5 days we took a trip to Pensacola to find the perfect house.  By far this is the most exhausting house hunting trip we've made.  That says a lot since we've made quite a few.  The choices were minimal and for a girl that was looking for the perfect stamp room it just wasn't happening.

Needless to say we would come home from hours of looking and I was emotionally spent.  On the last day we decided to put an offer on a house that we think has a lot of potential but will need a lot of TLC in the beginning.

In some ways this is a good thing because we can make the home our own. The flip side of that is I'm incredibly impatient.  I want it all done NOW.  Poor Russ.

Getting home was a crazy mess.  The weather was terrible and our flights were delayed.  We finally rolled up to the house at 2am.  I was so frustrated as I wanted to see my kids.  The next morning Russ and I put on our super hero capes at the crack of dawn and proceeded to clean the house at lightening speed to show our current house.

As I sit and write this morning my house smells clean as a whistle and my stamps are crying from lack of use.  I have a ton of work that I need to catch up on a few fun things I'm working on behind the scenes.  *wink*

Moving forward I keep telling myself that nothing comes easy but in the end we will look back on this crazy time and say it was totally worth it.  I am so excited about this move I just wish I could twinkle my nose and it would all be complete.

Today, I finally made it into my stamp room.  What a huge stress reliever.  Much needed I must say.

Now that we have the Note Card Envelopes (#131528) in Crumb Cake I decided to cut my own Note Card size cards in Crumb Cake to fit them.  LOVE these and you know I love Crumb Cake.

  1. Beautiful card Kimberly. I know it must be hard, moving again and finding that right home. I know we lived in apartments all our lives, then we decided to buy a home. I am impatient too when it comes to certain things. I want everything done NOW. Especially when you buy from someone else, I don't want to live in THEIR house, I want to make it OUR home. I don't want to wait to paint or fix things. I know of course, things take time and money. My husband is not really handy, he takes care of the yard, he put up ceiling fans, but he's not a carpenter. I'm the painter 🙂 We have been living in our home for (July will make 8 years) and there is still things to do. 🙂 I can't wait to hear all about your new home 🙂

  2. Another stunning card Kimberly ! I am so excited that my third (yes, you read that correnctly) order from the new catty has this stamp set and paper in it !! Now just the 2 week wait for it to get to me. LOL TFS and good luck with the house hunting !

  3. Welcome home Kimberly.  Another gorgeous card created by one talented, stressed lady.  House hunting & making the final (right) decision is challenging.  At least you found a house & with luck, the offer will be accepted.  And your home will sell too.  Be patient!

Love your card…I too am a lover of Crumb Cake…and the white looks so fabulous on it!   Great design and layering.       Sorry that your house hunting has not produced 'the perfect house' for you and your family…but guessing you will have to take lots of deep breaths when you start to reno this home to make it your own.  Best wishes in all that is happening for you and your family right now!

Kimberly- I've been a subscriber to your blog for a couple years now, and I live in Gulf Breeze!  When you move back to Pensacola,  I'd love to come to some of your stamping events and be one of your customers!

  6. I don't know how you do so much normally? And now the stress of moving! But your beautiful work continues to shine! Keep positive and think happy thoughts! We're  all rooting for you!
