Happy Life- For Realsie

Considering all things, I have a Happy life, for realisie!!  

Today was a tough therapy day for Russ and he fired me.  Yep.  You will never guess why! Too much laughing!!!  We couldn’t get serious for nothing.  This makes for a HAPPY life considering he is working pretty darn hard to get stronger.  I can’t help it and I don’t want to be a bore during therapy.  We had to quit at one point today because we were laughing so hard.  I felt that was the best therapy hands down.  

I have a really fun card to share today and of course it has a story behind it too.  Last week I asked my FB fans which stamp set they had not inked or had struggles with using from the Occasions Mini catalog.  It really boiled down to I wanted a challenge.  The number one struggle was the Ampersand Embossing Folder.  I have to admit that when I received this from Founders Circle I was super excited.  The problem was it just sat on my desk.  The other winner was the Perfect Couple stamp set.  Hmmm… no ink had seen my set either.  The challenge was a GO.  

Putting it all together:  

I started with Sahara Sand cardstock and used the Ampersand Embossing folder on a 4 x 5 1/4″.  This was placed on top of my card base- 4 1/4 x 11.  

Using a sponge dauber and Whisper White ink I sponged gently around the Ampersand.  I loved how this made the Ampersand stand out.  

Tip: 

When I was putting my Perfect Couple stamp set together I decided to separate the couple and the sentiment so I could use my little people for many different projects and not just for anniversary’s.  The little people fit perfectly on one of my Starburst Framelits Die.  YIPPIE!!! The challenge was coming together now.  

 Layer, Layer, Layer:

I decided to add a few layers of a doily, (I’m in another doily phase… please forgive me!) Ruffled Ribbon in Coastal Cabana and my Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper.  OH BOY.  Lastly, the sentiment is from Perfect Couple and stamped on a banner with a few more bends than normal.  I love how it all turned out and it was a GREAT challenge.   

My next challenge is to ink every Occasions Mini stamp I own.  I’m getting there.  Not many left to see ink.  Isn’t that exciting?
