Handmade Fall Projects
I have to giggle to myself as I’m creating these “Fall” projects and it’s 106 degrees outside.
YEP! I wish I was kidding. I never like to complain about the heat because I’m not a winter girl. Now Florida doesn’t usually get cold in the winter but these last two years have been a doozy. But lets face it… 106 degrees is NOT fun.
Here is what it means for me:
1. Smelly. I am smelly after going to get the mail. Can’t help it. It’s a fact!
2. Flat as a pancake HAIR. I can fix it all purty and the second I take one foot on the porch- WHAM- FLAT! The humidity feels like a sauna lately.
3. I sweat just standing doing nothing.
I’m pretty sure these are none of the facts you wanted to hear but I had to tell you about this crazy heat wave. Even the pool feels like a bath. Not refreshing.
As it was sweltering outside this weekend I was indoors creating like a mad woman. I was excited to participate in a few challenges on Splitcoast. This is something I haven’t done in years. Just playing and challenging my brain in a fun way. Loved trying new techniques and especially playing with my newest Holiday Catalog toys.
This new set called Lighthearted Leaves is going to be a favorite of mine. First I love the images of the leaves. The little designs inside are gorgeous. I also love that I do not have to cut any of them out. They have framelits to match.
I don’t know about you but matching die cuts always tickles my sweet fancy.
Look at this beautiful Designer Paper. I love these bold patterns and the colors are PERFECT.
…and what about that cute little wooden element? Isn’t it the cutest thing ever?
What’s even better… the newest glue that we are carrying. It’s a fine tip glue bottle to attach wooden elements or BEST YET… gluing sequins. You will love it. These products will all be available on September 1st.
If you can’t wait until September 1st I know something that could help you!

One last thing…
Did you notice the glitter splatter? It’s my fav new technique I learned at the Stampin’ Up! convention. Just mix a little Multipurpose glue in a small container with water. Not to diluted. Take your Aqua Painter and dip into the glue. Splatter by tapping your hand on the Aqua Painter lightly. Then pour your favorite fine glitter over your project (this should of course be Gold Stampin’ Up! Glitter-HEE HEE) and then tap off excess. Then just marvel at the beauty this little technique brings. It’s PERFECT-o!
You can see all the supplies used below. Make sure to write this set name down… YOU ARE GOING TO WANT IT—-> Lighthearted Leaves.
Also, don’t forget the perfect framelits that fit this set HERE.
