From Cold to Hot!

We're back!  I have so much to tell you it will take a few posts to catch you up to speed on my beautiful mess.  It's just that! Beautiful and a MESS!  First, we made it back safe and sound from our trip to Alaska.  More to come on that.  It was just Saturday that I was wearing a jacket as I walked around Seattle and came back to 100 degree weather.  WHAT??? Holy Cow.  I had no idea Virginia could get this hot.  Needless to say we have spent the last two days at the pool.

Let me tell you what I am SUPER excited about!  I stamped!  Today the only goal I had was to make it down to my stamp room with my new goods, organize them and stamp with something from the Summer Mini Catalog.  Over the last few weeks I've had the funk which makes the stamping mojo GONE!  After seeing so many cute things on the cruise and talking with my amazing stamping friends, I realized it was time to blow off the funk and get back to my stamp room.  I know this always makes me feel better.  It's just putting the right foot forward and getting to it.  Wanna see what I made? Okay, it's not extravagant so don't get all silly on me… but I stamped!  WHOOOO HOOOO!!!

I think I cover every angle of this card. LOL!  I was so happy to stamp.  Really! This card uses the stamp set Flower Fest.  The set reminds me of a previous set from long, long, long ago. This is a great set to watercolor or emboss with.  I used our new Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango embossing powder. It's been forever since I used colored embossing powder.  What I love about this new embossing powder is that it's SUPER fine.  Super FINE= High Quality!  You will love it.

I stamped the flower images onto the First Edition DSP using VersaMark and then embossed.  I matted this onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then onto Melon Mambo cardstock.  I really love these colors together.  I used the Fabulous Phrases stamp set to stamp the Celebrate and the Just Perfect stamp set to stamp the "YOU" onto the pennants.  Again, nothing crazy over the top but I think the card has a WOW effect with the embossed flowers.

You can find all these great products in my Online Store!

What stamping things are YOU excited about right now? I would love to hear.

More news on the cruise coming.  You may see a few blog posts per day. LOL!  I have a lot to tell you!

XOXOXO

Hi Kimberly, great card!  It's making me rethink my decision to not buy Flower Fest…I might just have to have that one too!  So happy to see you're back , I've missed you. Hope you and the kids had a blast on the cruise and I can't wait to hear all about it!
I've been having fun with the Paisley Petals dsp, the Decorative Label punch, a few different stamp sets, a variety of cardstock colors, and some accessories!  I am preparing samples for my upcoming Open House.  So nervous but also excited at the same time!
    Thanks for inspiring me!
