Do You Think Outside the Box?

Do You Think Outside the Box?

As a crafter it’s not always easy to think outside the box.  We see the product, we use it for it’s purpose and BAM…we are done!

Or maybe you get stuck in a crafting nightmare (or RUT whichever you feel best describing it) and do the SAME thing over and over.

Today I want you to think outside of the box using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.  Jump out of your comfort zone and create with me something that we can use in a few different ways.

Stampin’ Up! continues to bring innovative products that we can use to create amazing gifts for friends and family.   One of my favorites this past year was the Chevron Tag a Bag Gift Bags.  Then this year our newest addition is the Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bag.  I love that you can use these in the traditional use of a treat bag OR get creative and create a different size bag to fit your special treats in.

I went a step further with the Chevron bag and created a pouch.

Create with Me!

  • Using the Scallop Circle Framelit in your Circle Framelit collection, cut a scallop circle using one Chevron Bag and your Big Shot.
  • Place a treat in the middle between the two scallops.  Make sure that you are not going to over stuff the bag.
  • Place ribbon at the top so the treat can hang from something or you can skip this step.
  • Using a sewing machine, sew the two Scallop Circles together. I used a zig zag stitch to make it more noticeable.
  • Using Hello Honey cardstock, stamp the large sunburst image using Hello Honey ink.  Cut the image out using the Big Shot and Circle Framelits.
  • Using a piece of Whisper White cardstock and Mossy Meadow ink, stamp the leaf image and fussy cut the leafs.
  • Using another piece of Whisper White cardstock stamp the greeting with Hello Honey ink and then cut the image out using one of the Chalk Talk Framelits.

  • Using Whisper White cardstock stamp the dotted word image using Blackberry Bliss ink and cut the image out using the Project Life Cards & Labels.

  • Using dimensionals adhere all of the layers onto scalloped treat bag as shown in the photo.
  • Now it’s time to give away your beautiful treat bag.

  1. This stamp set just breeds creativity, and you’ve used it so well! Can’t wait to start playing with it – but I’ll hang in there until my grandsons go back home.

You are amazing…love that you used this chevron bag AND the chevron ribbon…and your layers and the fun colors and layers…fabulous…would love to see you do something similar with the polka dot bag!
