Do You Ever Get Crafty Bored?
Crafty bored? That’s a loaded question, isn’t it?
Let me explain that question a bit more. I think I might be in the minority and that’s okay.
Do you ever get bored stamping the same thing over and over again?
Typically this is something that makes me B O R E D. Very quickly. Like after card #2 making the same one I am bored.
But, when you are crafty challenged, sometimes you need to do some repetitive stamping to really get that mojo going into high speed. This really helped over the weekend. I decided to create a few cards using my Tap, Tap, Tap stamp set and the repetitive stamping helped because I was ready to MOVE ON. Ha ha ha ha!!!
Tap Tap Tap…
If I am going to create more than one of the same card it’s going to be something quick and simple. I chose to play with the Tap Tap Tap stamp set since it’s feeling neglected. I love the typewriter in this set and I love it even more now.
Normally when I use this stamp set I watercolor the typewriter. That meant more time so I nixed that idea and instead embossed the image using Black ink onto Watermelon Wonder cardstock. WOW. I love how this turned out.
I loved the embossed look so much I decided to switch up the color and loved it even more using Mint Macaron. WOWSA.
The fun was just adding a few embellishments like ribbon and White Perfect Accents to top it off.
Create it!
Here are a few tips for creating this card:
- The only tough part is a little fussy cutting of the typewriter. I like to emboss my images and sit in front of my TV and fussy cut away.
- To keep the ribbon elements together I stapled them to the Typewriter.
- The two strips of Designer Paper come from the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pack.
- I used a different stamp set for one of the cards for the greeting- Six Sided Sampler. I went on a little scavenger hunt with my stamp sets and looked for small greetings that fit within that tiny area.

I know exactly what you mean. I too get crafty bored! I usually hate making lots of the same card but sometimes it’s just got to be done to get you back in the flow! And I thought I was the only one like that lol! 🙂
