Color Inspiration & Candy!

Have you ever been inspired by the colors you may see in a store? How about a Candy Store? Alexis and I stumbled upon Dylan's Candy Store while we were in New York.  OH MY COLOR! Alexis was stunned by all the candy while I was in complete awww of the beautiful colors that surrounded me.  

I was so excited to catch this moment on camera because I knew that I could use this for one of my weekly color challenges.  

Last Tuesday I posted this color challenge to my Facebook Page. 

I fell in love with these colors as soon as I had seen them.  There was a BIG problem though. I was WAY out of my comfort zone once I started to work with all the colors. My desk looked like a disaster hit with cardstock, DSP, accessories flying all over the place.  I couldn't get these colors to mold into what I wanted.  Have you had this happen? My solution is to walk away slowly. <grin>  It worked.  

I started with a Wisteria Wonder as my base and then worked my way up with Elegant Eggplant, Pool Party and a "splash" of Pacific Point.  Pacific Point is not a color I typically used and I think this is the color I struggled with.  In the end I love this card and I love that I could incorporate the Pop Up Posies Designer Kit on this card.  I love the Pool Party & Calypso Coral flowers in that kit. They are perfect for so many projects.

I also used the Sale-a-Bration buttons, Designer Series Paper and the Pretty Petites stamp set on this card. 

Again, I'm behind on my own challenge which in reality shouldn't surprise you. <wink>
