I guess that is the best way to describe myself today. My poor body is broken! At least that is how I've explained it to my little gems. Mama is just not feeling well and YES, you need to eat another box of Mac n Cheese.
It's almost been a week of feeling puny. Dr visit on Tuesday declared a "Sinus Infection" after two minutes of looking at me, listening to my heart and hearing me breathe. In 10 minutes I was out the door with antibiotics and praying to feel better. I've had a sinus infection before but this one is a doozy. The pain in my teeth is awful. So awful today I went to see the dentist thinking that maybe it was a dental issue. Once she took x-rays it proved pretty quickly that my sinus cavity was sitting on the nerves above my teeth———–> OUCH!!! If you would have seen me to the lead up of going to the dentist it was not pretty. My fear of the dentist is FOR REAL. In fact, by 3pm yesterday I had convinced myself that I would be having a root canal. Pray for my Prince. I believe he thinks I've officially gone off the deep end. All will be okay. I'm taking my medicine and waiting for it all to "Kick in!" Not much creativity has been going on. It's hard to get creative when you feel like cow dung. Harshly stated, but so true.
Yesterday I did make a card that I will share. I'm hoping to get back in my creative space tomorrow. Tonight is a BIG night and I have to go REST. My Prince and I are going to a ROCK concert tonight. I will be high as a kite on Motrin and Antibiotics but I'm going!! He bought me Pink tickets back in November for my birthday. I love Pink. I *LOVE* her free spirit and uniqueness. Pray the pounding and loud music doesn't set me up for disaster later. UGH!! Had I not felt so bad I was really hoping to dye my hair pink and his hair pink. My Prince is probably happy as a clam I don't feel up to my usual antics.
I used the Sent with Love Bundle for this card. This stamp set is fun and fresh and the DSP colors are perfect too. The card itself lends itself to being NOT perfect. If you look close there are few uneven images. Ya know what? It's okay. I'm still sending this card. I feel poopie but my card is pretty. ๐
To make this card I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the base. It made me feel better. I also added a doily and one of those cute In Color Brads at the top. Now, here is what I did to make that brad stay. I took scissors and cut off the legs of the brad. Then I was left with the head of the brad. I used my Glue Gun and filled the head of the brad with hot glue and stuck it on the front of my card. Viola! It will stay.
Forgive me, not much else to share. I'm going to rest until my Prince puts on my magic sneakers to take me to the concert.
XOXOXO

Hugs, Lisa
AW Kimberly, still feeling yucky huh? Well those antibiotics will do the trick. PINK? Oh how lucky. My friends and myself were suppose to go to the same concert but the tickets were sold out. ENJOY, have a blast and feel better ๐
Thankfully you have not lost your sense of humor through this ugliness….I am still giggling after reading how you would have died your hair and your Prince's hair PINK…would have loved to see pictures of that! Hope you had a great time, in spite of being sick!!! And that you were able to stay for the full concert. Take good care and hope to see more creativeness as you feel much better!
Ooh, so glad you talked about the pain in your teeth with your sinus infection. I always feel like that and thought I was crazy. You can judge how bad it is by how much your teeth hurt. Feel better soon! Hope you enjoyed your concert.
I hope you feel better soon! There's nothing worse than a sinus infection.
I know EXACTLY how you're feeling. I knew I had a sinus infection, went to the doctor for meds, a week later felt worse than the week before (I so get the teeth thingy!!!). Now on 3 new meds for the next two weeks. This one was truly a butt kicker! Hope you feel better soon and have a BLAST at the concert. I <3 PINK!
You amaze me that you can do anything creative (including MDS) when you're sick! I love the Easter page you did; it was just beautiful. Hope you're feeling better soon, and I really hope you had a great time at the concert!!!
Thank you Tami. It’s been a long week. I’ve definitely had better days. LOL. Hopefully I’m on the mend. ๐
I’m thinking I may need to head back to the DR. to get a different med. Grr… Not fun.
This really did feel like I needed a root canal done. Honestly, it still hurts. UGH. Can’t eat or drink anything hot STILL. At least I have a little more energy back. ๐
Thanks Carol. You have to keep smiling even on the dark days. LOL. Concert was a blast although I’m sure it would have been even better had I felt better. Go figure. My timing is always splendid.
Love the card. Hope you are feeling better soon. I always take earplugs with me to concerts, it takes care of the loudness and you can still hear the music. Otherwise I end up with a splitting headache to the point where I feel like I am going to pass out and my ears ring for days after. Earplugs work great.
