Blessed and Chaos

The last couple of weeks have been filled with nothing but blessings and utter FUN chaos.  Seems silly that these two words can go together however if I described my life in the last two weeks it might exhaust you.  <smile>

Let me start with the biggest blessing and that was my trip to Paris.  My trip was the most amazing time I have ever had with my prince.  The weather wasn't great but who cares, we were in Paris!  Despite the drizzle cold rain we walked miles throughout the city and enjoyed the french cuisine and culture.  I was amazed at the sites and swear this has to be the most romantic place I've ever been.  Seeing the Eiffel Tower was always a dream.  He made it a reality.  I am grateful for him.

I came home and enjoyed one full day with my mom before she left to go back home.  I'm grateful for her too.  She looked after those two beauties for 5 days and I never worry when they are in her hands. While the kids get to enjoy her I feel like I don't get enough time with her.  🙁

Before I left we had a little birthday fun.  She handed me the most precious gift EVER!  She scrapbooked 40 years of milestones of my life.  I cried, laughed and then cried more.  I cried because this gift is something I will ALWAYS have.  I will pass it on to my children so they can laugh at all my crazy hairstyles.  I laughed at my own "Story!"  Boy, do I have a story.  40 years worth.  As the kids, Russ and I looked at the book it brought back so many great memories. Russ and I almost wet ourselves looking back at pictures when we first met.  We looked so young….just babies!  LOL!  Anyhoo, it was an amazing gift.  The work involved is so appreciated.  I'm telling you, a scrapbook is one of the BEST gifts you can give someone.  It's worth a million dollars to ME!!

After my mom left I was actually on the road again.  This is the reason you really haven't heard from me.  I had one day to seriously work and then off to Colorado I went for a GREAT Demonstrator event.  Another trip down memory lane for me as I miss that place terribly.  I was able to see my great demonstrators and a few of my customers that I gush over.  I had a great time Saturday morning having breakfast with a friend and catching up with her.

Now I am back home with my sweet family and really haven't done much today.  I'm trying to get back in the groove but I think my body is telling me to just RELAX for one day!  I'm not sure my body knows which time zone its in either.  Looking forward I am going to count my blessings this week.  I have many!  This week I plan to enjoy every minute with my family.

On a business note… There is a some serious Stampin' Up! specials going on.  Stampin' Up! has gone crazy- in a GREAT way- just for YOU!  The starter kit is HALF price!!!  You can see the special to the right on my side bar.  You should really check it out.  Not a customer of mine?  Call your local demonstrator.  Really, this is a special you do not want to miss.  It's craziness.  Great Christmas Gift for yourself too.  Join and see why demonstrators are so CRAZY about Stampin' Up!

There is also an online sale that you do not want to miss!  You can check out my website for more information.  SUPER deals this week only!

Before I left I had the chance to stamp, believe it or not.  Here is a card I made:

Somehow this week I am going to make time to scrapbook my Paris trip.  I want to keep those memories fresh.  <sigh>

Here are some pics of our trip.  I took over 600 pics.  It's going to be one big scrapbook.

This was a spectacular site.  This was the Military School in front.  That Eiffel Tower is so pretty at night.

We were on top of a building (forgot the name-will have to ask Russ!) and this is what we could see.  Love these buildings.

…It's also stunning during the day on a dreary day!

Yes, I found a Starbucks.  Seriously, I think I grew a chest hair from the STRONG coffee there. WOW!  It was fun to see Starbucks in a different language.  It's the little things that amuse me.

This was one of the highlights of our trip.  The best show EVER! Two FULL hours of entertainment.  My eyes never left the show.

  4. It was the last photo that brought tears to my eyes – I can just imagine how wonderful a time you had.  It sounds such a special time for you and your prince.

  5. Hello Kimberly —
I regularly enjoy your blog, and this post — especially — brought a smile to my face.   I am English, married to a Frenchman, living in the South of France, and whenever I read about any of my US "friends" visiting Paris (or other parts of France) and loving it, I feel so glad.   It was fun seeing your pictures and hearing how much you had enjoyed yourselves.
    Thanks for your fun blog.

  9. Kimberly, You are SO MUCH FUN girl.  Love your blog, love your projects and your take on life.  I'm glad you had a great time in Pari~.  What fun and great photos.  600 photos to scrapbook would absolutely mortify me because it would seem like one of those never ending things. LOL  I have to have quick gratification, it's why I only do cards and it's why I don't qulit either, but I really want to.  =D

  10. Oh Gurl!  I know that feeling!  Hubbie took me to England last year and I'll never, ever in a million years forget one second of that beautiful place!  I was born there along with my two sisters and my Mom was born and raised there.  Got to meet HER aunt who was 97 years old and still lived by herself.  Cried from the moment I met her until she blew me a kiss goodbye from her front porch.  And pictures…..ah, the pictures and architectural buildings just took my breath away.  Can't wait to see more from your Paris adventure.  Did you have withdrawals from stamping…??  Ü  Glad you're back!

Four years ago my husband and I did a World Cruise to celebrate our 40th anniversary.  We were in Hong Kong and took the underground to the end of the line, where we walked across the plaza and boarded a tram that took us up the mountain, we were on our way to see the Bronze Budda.  At the top of the mountain there was a quaint village.  While walking down the main street we came upon a Starbucks and a little further a McDonalds.  It sort of took the joy out of the experience to realize the village was tourist made.
