Badges & Banners for the Bestie
Badges & Banners stamp set had me SOLD at the first glance of that cute bird cage.
The funny part was I didn’t grab that image first to play with.
Best Friends Everywhere
My eyes instantly went towards the bestie image.
The different fonts together was instantly eye catching. Not to mention it describes my best friends to a tee.
Best friends can be anywhere. My besties are scattered everywhere.
Adding Depth Using a Punch
I’ve talked about adding depth to die cuts, but the same thing can be done using punches.
For this card I stamped the first two badges using Flirty Flamingo ink, then added adhered them to a watercolored background using Smoky Slate.
The best friend badge was stamped using Pool Party ink. The image was punched using the Best Badge punch, then punched several more times using Whisper White cardstock.
Each of the punched badges were layered onto each other using Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I love how this glue dries quickly and gives the paper a thicker feel.
Finishing Touches
The next step before adding the punched badges to the card is to adhere the Linen Thread and Delicate White Doily along with a few Enamel Shapes.
These elements add the perfect finishing touches to a card.

This card (like all your cards) is just lovely! You have been inspiring me to use more textiles, like thread and doilies in my own projects. You use them so well!
Isn’t the bird cage everyone’s favorite? It’s definitely mine…. though I also love the little banner that says “A little hello”. It’s such a cute font combination, super versatile, and the perfect size to accompany so many stamp images!
I think great minds think alike… TGIF Challenges is hosting a color challenge this week using almost these exact colors. You should enter your card! http://tgifchallenges.blogspot.com/
